While you should be applauded for this poll it does stink a bit.
Why do we get asked about very few things brought into the
game that we don't want SOF being #1 and not on others.
.And now the end is near its time to raise the final curtain.
Regrets i have a few, but i did it my way.

Thank you for the poll! I voted no for prestige in it's current form, but I support what you tried to achieve with it.

Just an idea to add to the competitive side of things*

An element of Runescape has always been about standing out in the crowd. A weekly leaderboard in each skill, with some sort of cosmetic override that could be earnt for being at the top would definitely spice the competition up.

Say winged axes for woodcutting, a demonic pickaxe of doom for mining.. etc etc. ( these aren't great suggestions but you get idea)

And perhaps if you were able to achieve top in all skills (not in the same week)... well that would need a big reward indeed.. :D

I wouldn't have cared all that much if it was implemented. I didn't think it was a bad idea, but it wouldn't have been something I would do. Starting over from lvl 1 with a double exp requirement doesn't seem all that fun....

However, what I do care about is that construction update you refuse to give us. I want a construction update, or at least update the housing graphics for now and give us the construction update later. You always hint at the update coming, and then it never does without an explanation. At least say why it wasn't implemented.

What if there just new hi-score section that can tell people who gathered most xp daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc
Some fan website actually use this on their site however not accurate
why not jagex site?
This would bring out competition

edit: there could also be rewards discussed like in prestige like outfits and titles
for the top people on these hi scores

Please no 120's.

Unlike prestige, making 120 the cap for skills IS actually forced on us if we want to keep our mastery of that skill. That would be even worse than Prestige.

Do not implement 120's.

Please never make skills go up to level 120 besides Dungeoneering.

~Make an ongoing seasonal hiscore for XP challenges that doesn't allow the same person to win twice (within a time period)

~Let us redo quests for other rewards or alternate endings (where appropriate)

~Make prestige 2nd to the regular hi-scores and make all 'rewards' available after prestiging once (basically everyone asked for this)

This exactly. Making all skills 120 is an abysmally dumb idea. Read my previous posts in this thread for more details on why. But just to share a few key points; one of the beauties of RS is that players can enjoy all the content after putting in alot of hard work. Right now after 14 years of the games existence ~15 of us are close to having what it takes for 120 all stats and only ~50 of us are even remotely close to the xp total that would be required. If you are not among this number than you are essentially voting to be permanently outclassed and unable to access all content within the reasonable remaining lifespan of the game.

Having to be a 16 hour per day guy just to remain relevant is not something I think all of these 120 supporters have put alot of thought into. Yes you claim you may want to do it, but based on what people have achieved in 14 years of play I can safely say 99.9999% of the 120 advocates here will never achieve what they are advocating.

Don't vote to be an irrelevant player. You will hate it once you realize exact what you will have set yourself up for.

Plus the implications with new players not wanting to spend 700 days of solid playtime at the very least to achieve even a remote state of endgame were all 120 skills implemented.

There are a lot of problems with it you aren't thinking about and thats only a few of the ones I mentioned earlier.

You see unlike prestige 120's will be REQUIRED to remain relevant. Never implement these.

I think a much better alternative to destorying everyones prospects to experience all the content RS has to offer is to add xp milestone capes:

at 25m, 50m, 105m, and 200m respectively. This will allow the xp crazies and single skill specialists to get their exclusivity and reward for their accomplishment while not forever making content in the game inaccessible to everyone else.

First of all, I would like to say
thank you
for giving us the chance to tell you what we think, and share our ideas before an update was implemented. I voted no on the poll because the idea of going over the same content over and over again didn't seem like the right solution to the problem posed. I think a lot of people would rather see new content, be it a new area, a new skill, new quests, anything, really, than go over the same old thing every time. Another reason I voted no was because those with normal 99s would be considered inferior to those who had prestige their levels, making having 99 even less respectable than it is today, and isn't that the problem that Prestige was supposed to solve?

Here's a suggestion I found while browsing the pages of this thead, and I think this is a really good idea.

One thing I would love to see which re-introduces competition and I have high hopes for its popularity would be an xp tracking system, to show xp gained in certain skills over the past day, week, month and all time records. There are other websites which do things similar to this but I would imagine you can allow people with 200m xp a skill to still compete (though they wouldn't gain xp past 200m, they could still get records of the xp they wou

Thank you again for letting us explain our reasoning, and I hope more polls like this continue until the Prestige system or its successors are something that everyone can be happy with.
