I found that a lot of the people asking for this either are below 2000 total (they don't know/care what they're really asking for) or have 100m xp in a few skills already, which would allow them to jump right to the end instantly.

Couple things.
1 Jagex listened, saw what they planned to release was controversial, and made the according adjustment. Why are people comparing this to EOC in a negative way? This is a positive as it displays the advancement of jagex from implementation towards player input.

2. Great what a strong community. One item gets scrapped and people are now complaining and pointing fingers. Just stop this is what destroys communities.

I voted no to the prestige system because it seemed like a lot of peoples work was going to be a waste. It makes it seem like someone who trains a skill past 99 has wasted their time. It means someone who has 14m xp in woodcutting (like myself) is just as good as suomi, who is clearly better.

However i think that there should still be a way to reset skills to level one. Though it shouldn't affect a rank. Keep the cap at 200,000,000 but let people still reset it to level one if they please. Maybe a new skill cape if they get 99 twice?

Thank you for listening, and for making it a simple yes/no poll.

Regardless of people's position on Prestige, I think we can all agree that the one thing this game really needs to avoid is controversial changes that have the potential to split the community. Let's hope that we see more polls like this, and fewer mass exoduses of players.

I'd love to see a poll on removing SoF and putting membership prices up to compensate for the lost revenue, as doing that would allow many ex-members who quit over it to rejoin the game.

Runetrack does that already and has been out for several years. The idea isn't new but I agree with her idea to make it officially part of the RS site and to include the virtual totals as well. It's another form of seasonal hiscores in a sense and separate.

Yes I have found this to be the case too. I think people in the near-max, max category will find the idea of 120's to be quite disgusting. As I mentioned in the previous posts, anyone outside of the top 50 is basically voting for some content to be inaccessible to them forever.

people with sub 2000 total especially have no grounds for asking for 120 skills. Even people with 100m's... still don't have them in all and STILL wont be able to access alot of content.

...OK, regardless of how you feel about prestige I think we all need to take a moment and give a big THANK YOU to Jagex for running the poll. That was the appropriate response. It really bothers me to see people whining no matter what they do. They listen to the players, they make a simple poll, and they LISTENED to the players! Kudos! And also kudos to those people who had the maturity to say, "hey I voted differently but I am very glad to see Jagex listened to the community!". This is all how it should be!
