Hey Rikornak,

I got a suggestion idea taken from another thread.

if there is a level cap increase to 20. Since the equipment is dragon slayer gloves at slayer level 40. Would it be awesome to lower the slayer requirement to level 20 as the final equipment to have a better time slaying dragons? How much are dragon slayer gloves used in p2p? This would be the finale for the f2p reward in FOG to grab. Also, at slayer Level 20, for defeating a rock slug will grant a light mystic glove as a reward.

Plus make Vannaka available for f2p to cover the remaining slayer assignments monster upto level 20 that Jacquelyn and Burthrope slayer master could not cover.

I guess to add on the summoning idea. I guess it's better to create new ones than retrofit older ones. Your right, it needs rebalancing, but for summoning, it would be better to have silver charms to fit for the remaining non-combat skill boost. I have some ideas that could work.

I.e., Level 5 Achiac termites require silver charms and ash. Boost woodcutting level +1

For level 15 Craftensic Bat needs batwing and a silver charm to create a pouch to boost crafting level +1.

Minigames:
Make rewards accessible outside of the minigame shops ... and I don't just mean for Thaler.

- Fist of Guthix rewards need to be distributed across multiple shops now (P2P can also benefit with Dragon Slayer gloves at Slayer Reward Shop for Slayer Points, Herblore Gloves for Crux Eqal Favor)
The 3 Magic Armor sets and Shields could just be found in shops for GP. The mechanics don't change.
Fishing Gloves ... no good suggestion on 'how'

- Great Orb Project - have the game and shop use the Runespan Esteem so players can get it via multiple means

@Noctis:

I certainly think a lot of FoG rewards could be reviewed when it comes to their use and restrictions. Since members have lots and lots of good gloves available anyway, I actually do think free players would appreciate them much more.

Vannaka should certainly be included in a slayer trial extension.

I don't think a new silver charm would provide too much of value, since low levels are fairly well covered with gold and green. I could rather imagine them introducing a new one for a level 120 extension, which probably starts being used a bit before 99.

I think something like the termites would be a reasonable addition (as a lower levelled counterpart to the beaver, available to free players - albeit calling the beaver not low levelled would be a joke on its own). Familiars to artisan skills wouldn't fulfill any purpose, since those give you a hidden boost to your skills and never allow you doing something you couldn't do without it already. They would need to be able to interact with the skill in some other fashion, but I can't really see something of purpose for crafting in detail (in contrary to let's say smithing, which could be increased progress or heat for instance).

In general for more ideas regarding familiars I can recommend this thread . It sadly has been abandoned long ago, but it has a couple of rather curious things in it. But yeah I wouldn't flood the game with tons and tons of familiars with most of them not really fulfilling purpose, so skilling additions would be preferable to "even more fighters".

@Delta: I certainly could get behind making minigame rewards more available, than their original source. Dragon slayer gloves for slayer points, is more than reasonable, since those things need a lot more of sinks, than just being able to skip crappy tasks without penalty eventually. Herblore gloves dito, albeit that is a reward that needs to be reworked somehow - would anyone even consider using them as they stand when they were more readily available?

Fishing gloves could be a good addition to fish flingers - albeit in here again - question their purpose. Sharks are not a good activity for xp, they were always deliberately rancid for that matter actually, since they're supposed to be valuable (yep and then they drop in tons from PvM, since you otherwise couldn't cover the demand...). And truth to be told - none of the other fish included is caught nowadays for their xp either. Even if they were to make let's say a singular glove out of it, that universally could be used for fishing, it still needs literally a bug fix: Being able to be used in lieu of the elite outfit, since nobody with that would relinquish those benefits for a few more xp. Applies to the runecrafting ones as well btw.

The robes certainly do not belong in some gp shop - unless it would be something like the heroes' or legends' guilds, in which you could justify those as a quest reward. Probably also the wizards's guild, but in there you most likely will have outlevelled them already.

I certainly do think that runespan points and runecrafting guild tokens should be consolidated into a singular currency (let's call them wizard tower tokens or so), with currency acquisition from GOP significantly increased - obtaining GOP rewards currently is a bad joke after all. To be honest that consolidated currency could be a good source for the FoG robes then.

A few thoughts to simplify FoG rewards in general and to make them more useful:

- The degradation mechanic for combat items is removed entirely, players will now freely be able to trade them as they like. Things can be fairly interesting niche items, but as they stand they're just not worth the trouble (with the exception of the battle robes for free players)
- Combat and Druidic robes are removed from the game. Nobody sane of their mind would grind a minigame for some low levelled armour. Players currently owning pieces will get their token costs refunded.
- The shields probably would need some kind of effect for players to even consider wearing them. I mean spiked shields could provide some kind of recoil effect, while the berserker ones could offer some revenge-esque buff. I think at least the adamant ones could be removed from the game as well though.
- Runecrafting gloves are consolidated into one singular item obtainable for 200 tokens, that can be universally used for runecrafting and functions as a substitute to the infinity ones if they are owned.
- Fishing gloves are consolidated into one singular item obtainable for 200 tokens, that can be universally used for fishing and functions as a substitute to the fishing ones if they are owned as well.
- Herblore gloves are changed to singular herbal essence worn in the pocket slot, which causes an additional herb to drop whenever one is obtained by combat or farming. It can be freely configured, which herbs you would want to be affected. The essence can be obtained for 200 tokens and lasts for 100 herb drops.
- Dragon slayer gloves can now be worn and used without any further requirements.
- New rewards: Cosmetic packages: Unlocks all styles of FoG gloves (2000 tokens), robes (2000 tokens) and shields (1000 tokens) as cosmetic overrides. Packages would include styles of removed items respectively. Unlocking all three packages would be a trimmed completionist cape requirement.

@Balkj06: That's why I am suggesting cosmetic packages containing skins of removed items. Unless you prefer it to grind out some low levelled piece of equipment and spend a keepsake key for that matter.

@Deltaslug: While this isn't inherently an issue for free players, I do think the workshop is extremely overcluttered with rewards already. If you're not using any kind of boost, you can skill from 1 to 99 exclusively and still wouldn't have unlocked everything there to unlock.

Crafting Guild

- Remove the hard falador tasks requirement from the deposit box and open it up for free players. It can be upgraded to a real bank chest by either reaching level 99 crafting (all players) or completing the hard falador tasks (members only).
- Add a second door allowing direct access to the animal pen. Move the sheep from the makeover mages' house to it.
- Add a couple of common and precious gem rocks.
- Add a sand pit and a few soda ash spawns for glassblowing.
- Add a small flax field.
- The almost master crafters now also sell buckets.
- Consider adding a reputation system akin to the one used for the farming guild, unlocking various global crafting related benefits over the course of ~5m experience. Free players are able to progress the whole system.
+ Rank 1: Increased speed for the pottery wheel and oven.
+ Rank 2: Glassblowing is sped up by 1 tick.
+ Rank 3: Clay is always mined in a soft form, soft clay rocks and bracelets of clay instead award an additional soft clay each.
+ Rank 4: Increased speed for smelting gold and silver and casting jewellery.
+ Rank 5: All weaving and spinning is sped up by 1 tick.
As the area is pretty crowded, I would add a basement to spread things out a bit:

Basement (new)
Moved from ground floor:
-Inventor's workbench
-Furnace
-Silver and gold rocks
New:
-Gem rocks

Ground floor
-Sheep (moved south, roaming near the main entrance)
-Tanner (moved from top floor, to be near cows)
-Clay rocks, pottery wheels/oven, and deposit box (no change)
New:
-Bank chest (unlocked as upgrade)
-South entrance with flax field added outside, near the farm by Melzar's Maze
-Non-depleting sand- and seaweed-gathering spots added to mainland beach and/or peninsula

Top floor
-Loom and spinning wheel (no change)

Miscellaneous:
-Option to toggle forced delay and dialogue when entering guild
