Almost eight years, 670 posts and 1924 forum bumps just for this iteration of the thread - and lots of awesome contributors - of which a lot of them already no longer are with us by now. While I haven't always agreed with all of you, the discussions have helped to shape this thread into what it is by now. This project wouldn't have been possible by me alone.
Also in here Jagex did a lot over all that time - for the first time ever f2p has a clear and adequate (albeit there still are some things to do) equipment progression, they did a lot to improve the general game flow and it certainly is easier to get the transition into membership done nowadays and while it hasn't really gotten that much of new content over that time, they added a few nice pieces. Albeit - evaluating things like this never was the purpose of this thread.
It's a bit hard to tell if Jagex has more in hands, albeit the free version of the game still benefits from rather general improvements like the woodcutting revamp last year (albeit still a bit incomplete when it comes to its interaction with the fletching and firemaking skills) or the requirement fixes to create dragonhide armour with the vorkath release.
