Well pants is the same idea with less restrictions, the restrictions are flexible in what they can allow in both ideas which will come down to what JMods want to and do not want to restrict.
But yea both mine and pants ideas are the same.
I'd support your system if they can gain clan xp within that week
If they leave, the xp goes so there's nothing to lose, and that way they can contribute to the clan that first week.
They dont have to not get clan xp, thats open to change as are most of the restrictions in my idea but that depends on what JMods are willing to allow.
well lets see what the higher ups say and if there's any better things, like ryans idea
, I shall be sleeping.

I continue to see the change as a positive update. Though I do think some more visibility surrounding the cooldown period would be nice. Those who are on the cooldown period can see it nicely, but I haven't seen a way for us to see it unless we track them down and try to invite them prematurely. Can those who join a guest CC while still on cooldown have their name appear in a different color in the CC interface? Maybe
red
for 1-5 days after leaving their clan and
yellow
for the last two before they can be invited?
If not, it isn't necessary. Just my two cents. ^.^
What about just adding a small number icon next to their name in the Clan Chat while Guesting, indicating how many days they have left? The data of this is already written to their character, right? So, how hard would it be to input that data into a Clan Chat upon their entry as a Guest?
Not all the people who join my clan chat as a guest are looking to become a clan member. This would just be confusing.
I'm happy with the new joining update, too many clan hoppers these days. Only thing I would like implemented is the ability to join the clan you were previously in if you were kicked for example, I believe Maz is working on this though.

It's already in.

Thanks again Mod Moltare. You don't have to be sorry, I much more appreciate being told that my idea isn't possible because of X, Y or Z rather than just "this is not technically feasible".

I think this is already done?
Opps, I haven't been active too much recently. You can blame Bungie. Destiny is too addicting.

yes but why is it an issue? What are the negatives about waiting a week to join a clan.
Cooldown problems for
some
clans:
> Significantly more difficult to start a new clan and,
> Difficult for small clans to recruit, stay alive, and grow
>
Most clan's feel forced to allow guesting now (if they didn't before)
>
Clan's with guest problems are forced to disallow guesting and many feel at a recruiting disadvantage with guesting disallowed
>
Muting the recruit rank (eg to mute a trouble maker) mutes guest's also.
>
People returning to the game are without a clan for 7 days (if in a clan before/kicked)
>
This has made some clan's change the entire way they do things. Mine included.
>
Depending how you run your clan, it's more work for admin now.
>
Lack of freedom. People feel stuck in a clan or choose to remain clanless.
These are some problems I've read on these forums from other clan leaders. Rest assured that not every clan will be facing these problems, but clearly there are clan's that are because of this update.
I've bolded the one's that effect my clan.
So do all of the above problems outweigh the problem of cheaters at Clan Cup (see my post at bottom of pg 6 as to why Clan Cup is only
real
issue)? Since neither system solves all problems, which one is the greater harm to the Community to implement? I clearly feel the currently chosen system is causing the greater harm.

No, was wondering why the 7 day wait is staying is all, as that is why we're all against this poo.
Not everyone is against it, J4ron. Just saying you are against it and want it removed after it is already in place is not helpful. Looking for ways to improve it are.
I think everyone in the CLF knows you don't like it, are against it and will disrespect just about anyone that is for it, including JMods.
As my mother used to say, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Please stop. Look for something good in it, or look for proposals that will help you and leave out the negativity.

We have given ideas forward, we had a 98 page thread going (which did not need locking) and we've had few responses other than "we'll talk about it later today".
Anything we say seems to be "technically not feasible" which means that there probably isn't put in putting suggestions forward, instead asking them for suggestions that they can do and we can discuss and give our opinions on which ones should be done?
And, as far as I can see, for my clan there is no good in this new update. And I've looked. Hard.
