A white list does seem like a good idea.

J4ron, exactly what is the problem with not being able to join a clan immediately once having left a clan? it only affects people who are in clans not people who have left a clan or have never joined a clan. it's only a week they have to wait to join a new clan.

I realize that you may have posted the details somewhere already but I don't want to go looking through all your posts.

If you break down each point maybe some can be solved.

Disclaimer: I am not a game developer/programmer. I don't even play one on television.

Here's my idea:

Create a waiting list for those on cool down that automatically adds the prospective clan member who wants to join to the clan as a recruit when they're eligible. A delayed invite of sorts. Have a game message when they log in notifying them they are a member of x clan. Possibly add them into the clan chat as well the first time. (We've had new recruits who don't understand how to join the clan chat at first).

If the list could have a timer to let our clan admins know how much longer they have in cool down, even better.

My comment about this update being a poo still stands. You can put a paper towel on the poo, or spray it with air freshener, you could even put a bow-tie on it to make it look pretty and attractive, But it's still a poo. The only way to remove the poo is to either flush it, or put it in the bin. :) Owner of

yes but why is it an issue? What are the negatives about waiting a week to join a clan.

Cooldown problems for some clans:

> Significantly more difficult to start a new clan and,
> Difficult for small clans to recruit, stay alive, and grow
> Most clan's feel forced to allow guesting now (if they didn't before)
> Clan's with guest problems are forced to disallow guesting and many feel at a recruiting disadvantage with guesting disallowed
> Muting the recruit rank (eg to mute a trouble maker) mutes guest's also.
> People returning to the game are without a clan for 7 days (if in a clan before/kicked)
> This has made some clan's change the entire way they do things. Mine included.
> Depending how you run your clan, it's more work for admin now.
> Lack of freedom. People feel stuck in a clan or choose to remain clanless.

These are some problems I've read on these forums from other clan leaders. Rest assured that not every clan will be facing these problems, but clearly there are clan's that are because of this update.

I've bolded the one's that effect my clan.

If possible, revert back to the old way of things. Players allowed to join a clan but have a time limit before anything else is done. I haven't read through the entirety of this thread, so I'm not sure if it's been clarified to be possible or not.

Also.. When you kick someone from your clan, they can join a new one immediately. I just kicked someone from my clan (he asked me to, to see if this exact situation would work, which it did) and he joined a new clan right after. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but it may need looked into.
