Are you saying that is the only problem your clan has? or the only problem you're aware of? I've seen many of your posts, you're a smart gal. Surely you can think of more problems that this update has created than that. These problems have been posted all over the forums, in the other clan section, on HLF, in general, CLF.. this update solved problems with the clan cup and created many more (for many clans).

On-topic then: To address the below post. One issue for my clan has been guesting. We didn't allow it before and feel the need to now. As such, I have suggested a good middle ground for this new system would be improved guest features. Approving a guest before they join is sort of like making them a probationary clan member. :) Thoughts?

Can we keep this thread on topic please? The last thread I was able to ignore for the most part because it served no purpose other than to allow people who didn't like the update to vent and/or complain. This thread however I want to be a part of, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep reading due to the excessive amounts of negativity and derailing posts building up.

This thread was put up to discuss improving the current system, not to debate if it was good, bad or ugly. Can we try to keep that in mind as we move forward please?

I Skimmed over most posts and Just wanted to ask this:

When people are Kicked from a clan,
Are they Supposed to be able to Join other clans right away?

Because I am hearing this as being a loophole,
When people want to hop clans they are just Getting kicked on purpose,
So they can skip the 1 week probation.


No issue with them rejoining previous clans instantly though =P

I don't understand why there's so much argument here, when this is supposed to be about suggestions for helping make this change easier for those who are having trouble adjusting with it.

firstly I would like to apologise for the derailing of this thread, I just couldn't take all the flaming when the jmods are trying to do their best to compromise.

No, I have read a lot on the issue and that is pretty much the only problem that I feel should be addressed. I know that others have issues with the update but they haven't been a problem with my clan and I don't feel the same way they do.

my clan actually encourages guesting so they become familiar with the way we do things and if they don't like it, they don't join. :)

You should know my posting style by now when it comes to this topic.

I will stand by my statement, the 7 days must go, that is the reason why we're against it. The only compromise is to put a new system in that doesn't prevent people instantly joining, I will settle for nothing less. Owner of

I originally did not like the new cooldown. Many of my members did not like it when i presented it to them when it went live. We had to make some changes to go with it.

We now require new recruits to sit in as a guest, until they have completed our application. This is good in a way, because of quality of recruits is now higher. But we have done it this way more so so that recruiters get rank credit and its easier to keep track of their credit, now that their recruits cant join right away. However, it is still true that we have been getting fewer recruits.. like many other clans.

I have been seeing much more guests in our chat lately, the new ones are all on cooldown. I must say that before the guests we had we knew them, now, not so much and I've become uneasy having so many unfamiliar faces in my clans chat.

My clan like many others have to fight back unwanted guests, clanmate stealers etc, and balance that with who we do want to be able to be in our chat.

Finally, I don't propose we change the new system again but simply add a whitelist or 'approved guests' option, for recruiters to add their recruits to, recruits that are on cooldown or friends of the clan.. maybe with a smiley face rank or something but my point is that this is much needed now with the new cooldown.

The whitelist has been wanted for awhile anyway, and now it seems more needed than just wanted imo. So there's that.
