apparently king noobald is going to join us in the battle. Everyone bet how quickly he dies!
He didn't die last time. But then last time he was using an Amulet of Strength.
What last time?
Last I fought him he was a brainwashed, fat pushover. Unless that concept art is proof he's been weightlifting to burn off the pounds these last few quests, he's not going to be much help.
His wife
would be more useful on the front,
as long as the vampyres don't wear earmuffs.
I still really hope the quest addresses his advisor. That guy gives me a real Jafar vibe, and I swear I recognized his silver hair at a certain meeting...

I definitely think quest series' should be released in close conjunction with each other so they don't have to do graphical updates in between them (which also makes them harder to recognize more often than not). Finish the vyre series, then we move on to other stuff.
Agreed. The void series was the best for that reason, they didn't have to have recap NPCs and several graphical updates to all relevant NPCs over the course of the series. The worst one at that was definitely the elf series. As interesting as the individual quests were, they had no connectivity that made any sort of sense, and the finale was very bad at tying everything together, because there were so many loose ends to cut in such a short time span.
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

In Legacy of Blood, King Roald was fighting on the front lines against the Black Prince's forces and even going toe to toe with Gareth.
Yes, the king was "buffed" by wearing an Amulet of Strength.
We don't know if the amulet was super reinforced (it was 10x stronger than normal and had magics to also aid accuracy and defence, so that any noob wearing it would seem pro) or if Roald was in better shape back then.
Fast forward to Year 169.
King Roald was brainwashed via magic and wasn't exactly geared for combat.
The question now: is King Roald like Sir Tiffy, one of the bigger hidden bad a$$ of the world?
is he more of an elite noob or a munchkin? he grinded stats the easy way, or leeched xp, and bought the best tier for his gear, but he lacks the practical aspect of knowing how to really fight, and thus would get owned against a true fighter?

The problem with addressing the advisor s to do so they need to deal with the Edicts as understood by the characters in the Myreque series, but Jagex don't have a clue what that is as evidenced by LoV.
Honestly the advisor and his crew are just using the events of Myreque to get out of the binding and have their own separate plan. I think this was the supposed set up that existed for Saradomin's return before the 6th age was conceptualised but have no real proof of that. So basically the edicts as understood by the characters in Myreque need overturned in the finale and then we need another quest dealing solely with whatever plan that group has with the religious sites around Misthalin.
Edit: Talking to yourself Lego?

Gar'rth*
Roald didn't exactly 'go toe to toe' with him, Gar'rth never fought back.
The strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack.
Assuming the concept art is accurate, it will be interesting to see why the werewolves he's fighting are in their wolf forms. The last time he was smart enough to bring a wolfsbane dagger with him.

Probably just for the concept art. Should it come to this, we'll make sure to remind Mod Srowl*y that the Society of Owls have a nice supply of wolfbane daggers.

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.
the only problem that i see with Vanescula's plan is that she seems to want to achieve it with military power instead of talking it out with king Roald.
they just need to make a system where Varrock send prisoners to morytania.

no need for violence
I can't see Misthaling sitting down to negotiate with vampyres, let alone coming to an agreement. They were willing to send an embassy to Morytania after the wyrd attacks to chat with Lord Drakan, but then after Tenebra's attack and the werewolf abductions, I'm not so sure anymore. I guess it's not entirely impossible though. Would make for an interesting plot.

knowing Jagex it will just be the standard "gather armies from all the human kingdoms and fight the evil invading force in epic battle of doom that will shake the whole Gielinor!!!!"

so boring
That sounds awesome. Do you mind if I use this idea?
I'm joking, of course. It's a shame you believe this is something we'd do these days...or at least something that I would do. With TLoV I went out of my way to show that the series isn't just good vs evil, and to show more from the perspective of the vampyres, and that's something I intend to deliver on.
Also...I'm lurking on this thread again (for no reason, honest).
