Hello everyone! Here's some quasi-random suggestions for POH additions to OSRS. Of course, POHs are pretty great in the game as is, so more small-ish updates should be a welcome addition.

Skill hall

In addition to regular metal and Castle Wars (see below, though) armour stands, you should be able to mount full achievement diary armour sets. There would be one stand for each difficulty. This idea was suggested by Einzelkampf, 322-323-502-66200690 .

Moreover, the skill hall has two still empty corners. One suggestion I have is to introduce very rare 'special logs' obtained when woodcutting, similar to the big fish you can sometimes catch. Using your fletching skill, you would be able to carve beautiful, decorative bows to display in the skill hall. They would come in willow, yew and magic (or perhaps redwood) varieties.

For the other corner, my idea is actually quite traditional: a hunting trophy to mount. Could be for example that you can find very rare 'perfect fur' from larupias, graahks and kyatts that you can nail to the wall. Alternatively, mounted heads like the slayer ones from various more popular creatures, or particularly large specimens of lizard, stuffed chinchompas or preserved butterflies. Plenty of possibilities!

In fact, deadeye53355 suggested to have the big cat furs function as rugs, rather than mounted on the wall, which is even cooler (but does preclude having stairs, of course)! Additionally, if possible, make rug and stairs hotspots separate in quest and skill halls (thanks Kid Penguin). See also the bottom post about rugs!

Add a silver jewellery box in one of the corners (suggested by Rikornak on page 4; see his post for materials etc.) which functions akin to the gold jewellery box in the achievement hall. Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Quest hall

Quite frankly, this is a room with very much potential but it is not as good as it could be.

First of all, the maps of RuneScape are rather lacklustre. A graphical update to make them bigger and somewhat more detailed would help. Similarly, the portraits you hang are rather old. I'd suggest adding one for Zeah (requiring all the novice quests there), and the Fremennik Province, in terms of landscapes. As for people, the King Arthur one is obsolete and should be updated. Needless to say, there's myriad possibilities to add new portraits, depending on the level of detail that the OS graphics would permit. (bigger portraits are, of course, better :) ) I'm thinking a Myreque portrait after Sins of the Father; the 10th Squad following Monkey Madness 2; a selection of heroes after Dragon Slayer 2, just to name some.

The coolest addition, and one I've seen requested off and on for over a decade, would be a cutscene reviewer. When built, it would allow you to freely rewatch cutscenes from any quest you have completed! I imagine this might be rather tricky to implement, but it would really be an incredibly nice gadget to have. Building materials, apart from the usual, would include copious amounts of mind, body and soul runes to get the magic to work.

Another much requested object (suggested here by Twiztedtinx) is the quest item box, allowing you to store all those quest souvenirs that you have kept for various purposes but which have no place elsewhere. Think Carnillean armour/Mark of Hazeel, the demonic sigil, the fake man, and so on.

Finally, whilst the bookcase contains many books, quite a few interesting ones withal cannot be placed there. It would be good to address this. Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Study

A cool room aesthetically, but a bit useless apart from the lectern and telescope. The magic crystals are currently extremely expensive to use, and rather pointless. Instead of charging 100(0) runes for changing the alignment of elemental staves, add these runes to the building materials, allowing you to change staves for free. Even then it isn't very useful, but then making the crystals function as the elemental obelisks, allowing you to charge unpowered orbs, would be rather overpowered. Repairing rune pouches for free would be decent, I think?

Shooting Stars hav arrived, giving the telescope purpose. Suggestion from before the D&D was announced: allow it to be used to scout out a number of locations (boss lairs and multiplayer minigames, mainly) to see if there are players there. Of course it makes zero sense that you would be able to see into the GWD, for example, but who cares; your house is in a pocket dimension anyway!



League hall

I don't know whether this is even possible technically, but if so, could the accomplishment scroll please display your stats and completed league tasks for a given league? It's probably not possible, but just on the off-chance that it might be...



Bedroom etc

Suggestions by deadeye53355: allow players to lie down on beds. Perhaps let it restore health and run energy at an increased rate, although just the option to interact with the bed would be nice.

Moreover, allow fireplaces to store some logs via right-click. Whoever carries logs with him when visiting his house in order to light a fire?

Minigame hall!

We have a quest hall, a skill hall... there's one obvious room that's missing 'innit? The minigame hall would be a brand new room requiring 47 Construction to build. Its centrepiece would be a rug or stair hotspot as with the other two halls, while the space around it would display various minigame trophies! Here's my suggestion.

1) Teleport box. A container to which you can add the following items for infinite teleports to the respective minigames:
- 50 Void knight seals
- 1000 Castle wars brace [not a teleport, but it would unlock the brace's bonus permanently; up to debate]
- 100 hallowed crystal shards
- 100 bottles of rum (any colour)
- 100 games necklaces
- 100 rings of duelling [the last two overlap with the jewellery box of course; I propose having one loaded would automatically load the other, if built]
- 1 Gricoller's can
- Cat training medal (e) [new item with Rat Pits teleports for catching 1000 rats]
- 5 gout tubers [Tai Bwo Wannai]
- 250 volcanic mine tablets [Fossil Island]
- 500 crystal teleport seeds [Zalcano and The Gauntlet]

2) Armour stands. A trio of armour stands in the corners of the room allowing you to, well, show off armour. First, the Castle Wars stand from the skill hall would be moved here (see earlier suggestion). There would be one for (elite) void armour, with any helmet, and for penance armour, with any hat.

3) Banner stand. The fourth corner would have a banner stand hotspot, to show off your Castle Wars or Trouble Brewing banners.

4) Trophy spot 1. Mount one of the following items to the wall:
- Gnome ball
- Pharaoh's sceptre [infinite teleports included]
- Gnome scarf
- Pirate's hook

5) Trophy spot 2. A hotspot to display one of these larger trophies:
- Gold shade coffin
- Soul obelisk replica [new reward purchased from Soul Wars]
- Void Knight mace
- Barrel of god staves
- Tithe Farm plants [new reward bought from Gricoller; thanks to Any-sao for the suggestion!]

6) List of achievements. Finally, there's a place on the wall to display your list of achievements for all to see. It would list whatever accomplishments are tracked (or should be tracked) in minigames, such as: Gnome Restaurant deliveries, Penance Queen kills, Barrows chests looted, Pest Control games won, etc. There might be some overlap with the adventurer's log from the Achievement Gallery: that should be ironed out.

7) Outfit stand. If there's space left, there could be another outfit display stand in addition to the three combat armour ones. Here you would be able to display a utility/skill set, such as pyromancer, carpenter, lumberjack, any naval outfit, and so on.

Games room

Allow us to build a Burthorpe Games Room table in the large game hotspot. It would require some standard materials as well as a 'board and pieces kit' purchased from Eohric in Burthorpe. Whilst Prince Anlaf is happy to let you play at home, the war effort does require funding...


Rooms with rugs

Last year we got the very cool trailblazer rug for the league hall. I've also suggested using perfect big cat furs as hunting trophies or skill hall rugs. Why not expand upon the concept? Thanks to Graveolaf171 for some of these suggestions!

First of all, as I've said, if technically possible, the rug and stairs hotspots in quest, skill and minigame halls should be separated. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to have a set of stairs surrounded by a rug, at least when going up, but I imagine this might be somewhat tricky to implement.

Then, instead of using the 'perfect' animal furs as hunting trophies (take the other suggestions instead), just allow us to use regular (i.e. non-tatty) furs as rugs in all rooms that support rugs. But that's not all! Just like Sir Renitee hands out portraits and family crests given certain prerequisites, add a chap called Ali the Rug Merchant to Al Kharid (or another desert town) selling you region-themed rugs based on quests and/or achievement diaries completed. There would be rugs for the desert, Misthalin and Asgarnia, Ardougne and Kandarin, the Gnome lands, Morytania, the Wilderness, Great Kourend, Dorgesh-Kaan, the Fremennik Province and Tirannwn. Proceeds would go straight to Charity. That is, Ali 'Charity' Morissane, the infamous aunt of the more infamous Ali M. Alternatively, add a rug merchant to each region selling only that respective rug. Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

This is such a great idea that it’s practically a no-brainer. In fact, since I haven’t thoroughly explored OSRS Construction yet, when I read the title I thought “Isn’t there a minigame hall already?” There isn’t, and it’s strange that there isn’t!

Total support. And I do also have two other ideas:

1: I would like to see some other options for large trophies, however. How about a plant from the Tithe farm or a barrel of god staves from the Mage Arena?

2: Wintertodt is a minigame, right? So why not put the Pyromancer set on the armor stand? Someone with 99 Firemaking wouldn’t have much else to do with it. I’m not great at this game, but I do love quests.

Wintertodt is not officially designated as a minigame, I think, and I was hesitant to add skill outfits, since some are pure RNG when it comes to obtaining them, but why not! I'll add it. Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Pretty well explained.

As far as the telescope goes, why not have it act as an orb of oculus if you imbue it with something that is quite expensive. It would only work in certain areas (minigames/hotspots where people would want to view activity - no wilderness scouting for obvious reasons). You could direct where it views with a right click option or something. Castle Wars in Theme - A few minor changes to fix cheating
