Some people voted no because they did not want to restart their levels or they we're not very competitive. That's a good reason not to do it yourself but I wouldn't say that's a good reason to stop others who want to do it. As for me, I'm voting yes. Level 99 is a great achievement but the sad thing is once you hit the top there's nowhere else to go, prestige offers further achievement for those who really want it.

Voted yes for prestige across multiple accounts, just so Jagex doesn't get the idea that they should implement 120 all skills as an alternative and make the longest rpg to max as it is...... infinitely far beyond everyone's reach and thus impossible to for PRACTICAL PURPOSES max out.

^ THIS!!! But i still voted no.

Thank you for allowing us to have a say in the matter! I voted no because I feel that there needs to be some sort of endgame where once you've reached it, then you've "beaten" the game. For many people that means getting all 99s. By introducing prestige, that endgame would have been pushed further back to unrealistic levels that most people wouldn't ever be able to reach.

I guess this is why I voted, ''No.'' Prestige is great for higher-leveled players, but after some thought it's just too much for competition, and does encourage unhealthy gameplay like others have said. Prestige kind of complicates everything as well. You have to turn it on and off (maybe with a fee) to do particular activities and things, plus there would be two Highscores lists (the original over time being shoved aside most likely, which I wouldn't want to see if I choose not to prestige), etc... I'd like to view a more basic alternative/system, like expanding or removing the 200M XP cap on all skills.

You could always implement the new Prestige system after the poll results if it's still going to happen in any sort of way, but only without the "Prestige cosmetic rewards and any other rewards." This gives the players with 200m's or experience past 99 the ability to prestige their stat without losing their exp, just give them the prestige that should be given with their current exp. This eliminates unfair advantages, of course they don't have to start their 99's over again from 1, however they still gain nothing aside from a head start which they should deserve. Personally this Prestige system or high scores of any kind shouldn't be given any cosmetic rewards or anything of any sort because all they want is to be winning or try for competition which is all they should get, cosmetic rewards or anything such as titles and/or Solomon/Loyalty things really shouldn't be put into the equation of how much exp(time available to play) that they have.

My last post was kind of a mess of thoughts vomited into the text field so allow me to clarify my point;

If prestige fails to achieve 75% approval, do not consider 120 skills as an option . I'm not sure why so many people think this would be a solution. It wouldn't be. 100m+ xp to max each skill is so ridiculous that I would stop playing on principal - my health and my personal life would not be able to accommodate such outrageous grindage.

I can imagine how many other current players would feel the same, much less anyone just starting to play for the first time. Don't overwhelm your players with impossible goals. Just don't do it.

I don't think we'd implement 120 skills without a poll of its own. There's internal disagreement over whether "most players want it" or "most players don't want it" which is exactly the sort of thing a poll is useful for.

Maybe not 120 skills, because that would be too overpowered for the game and lower level content such as level 70+ etc would be pretty much dead. But if you were to add in a 104m xp mastery cape (keeping all skills at 99) you would reach 104m xp, therefore being able to purchase a mastery cape such as dung.

Or a milestone cape for xp in skills? 50M, 100M etc.

Honestly here's how I view prestige:

First of all, a system that allows the high scores to be somewhat fluid is a good thing, people can aspire to be at the top and actually might achieve that no matter how long ago they started playing. Raising the level cap to 120 would be the exact same thing (just give it like a week). If you got it first, you're on top. And no one else will ever be.

Me, I don't have 1 single 99. I don't want to be on the highscores, if I ever get 99 I won't want to use Prestige, but even I have value for it. Here's why:

Prestige doesn't hurt low-levelled players . I'm a quester, I love to quest (I just did MPD yesterday, and fell in love). I only ever raise my levels TO quest. And the way things were going before the 6th age meant not too many new quests for me, as the attention was focused to higher, and higher levelled players. Making skills go to 120 would bring that focus back.

And I'm not paranoid. Look at any novice/easy or even normal skill level quests that have come out. How many forum posters complained that they wanted higher-level stuff instead? Even now, middle-levelled players (like me) are being kind of left out on the majority of content updates (which is fine, as we can actually do the low-level stuff). Of course I'm not saying that content updates should never focus on high level players.

This way, there's something constant for high-level players to focus on so the content updates that actually come to them might mean something more than "this is the only food I have gotten in a week-- must *nom nom*".... "where's the next one?"*

So... I voted yes.
