I voted no, because I wouldn't want to retrain my stats to 99 again, even if I were a Maxed Player. And to the comments that say "Oh, you don't have to do it, they are not forcing you" well, I believe that for those people who are competent in the hiscores, they surely don't want their achievements to be redundant (because I am pretty sure the old hiscores will be forgotten by most of the community).- Temari

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

Prestige please, I would be overjoyed with the ability to re-train cooking/fletching/fishing/firemaking/divination/hunter.

I really hope this gets implemented, and if it is somehow a comp/trim req to prestige once, that'd be awesome too.

Great idea from the Jagex team, stimulates the economy and makes us appreciate the lower levelled content all over again from the glory days.

This is something I hate.

Player 1: "some people want to prestige"
Player 2: "But I DONT WANT TO!"
Player 1: "you don't have to, it's totally optional"
Player 2: "But if other people chose to do that extra work and DO prestige I will lose my rank on the highscores!"

1).. "Good. If you want to take the easy way out and disallow other players from even having a CHANCE to raise themselves in the high scores, you don't deserve a high rank. Any truly competitive player would be ok with continuously proving he/she is the best at something. They wouldn't keep others from even having a chance (which is what the current system does because at 200 mil you get locked in and can't be moved, or get higher yourself.

The fact is, players who simply started earlier are bound to reach 200 mil first. The great player in runescape of all time could start playing, and look forward onto the high scores and say ....' the best i can be is number 2758' because the top scores are already locked. That's silly.

Everyone should have a chance to reach the top. If you are on the top and feel threatened that you will be passed, either prove your worth of being up there still, or let yourself be passed. You don't deserve to stay on top. With seasonal high scores and the old high scores still being accessible, you will be able to shine in those ways, and you will still have on record when you got 200 mil yourself. But let everyone have a chance"

Voting "yes" is the obvious good choice for the GAME

Letting others prestige is good because they can:
1) have more goals to fulfill
2) relive the nostalgic days of low levels without having to make a new, separate, account that has a trade limit
3) have something new to compete in for the high scores.

If you don't personally want any of those three things.. look at my post above.

And if you're at 99, but not 200 mil, there is no sense in worrying that the prestige system will force you to get passed, because you will still get passed anyways if you aren't continuing to train your skill.

I personally have no intention of prestiging. And I am very happy about my rank in the high scores. But it is best for the GAME and for others to let this happen. It provides so many positives.

And I'm not selfish enough to worry about my own rank to keep that from happenning. If some beast player goes prestige crazy and passes anything I have (even if I was maxed), I would be tipping my hat to him/her for earning their place at the top not complaining about how I didn't get the easy way out.
