ill try and help out as much as i can if you want me to.
support 15v15 instead of 20. hard enough to find enough clans who can bring 10, let alone 20. 15 is good middle ground. i liked hoppy's idea for set in stone member list, possibly with the ability to add up to like 3/5 people of your choosing during the competition (as long as not multi-teaming). Recommend gamer's grotto as well- maps are much better, you can spectate, and there aren't nearly as many glitches involved (sign of lifes, inability to bank, etc)

With 2-3 weeks for sign-ups we could even start in the first weeks of September, perhaps after Runefest to avoid that disruption.
SIgn-ups right after RuneFest is a good idea because you can advertise the clan cup
*at* RuneFest
Especially since you're meeting people face to face, you can be much more charming and persuasive than with just text.
I wish that we could still purchase tickets and lodging with bonds, or that it wasn't during school, because if either of those were true I would have been able to go.
@Jamo - true, we will also have to bear that in mind. However, I'm not sure it's worth taking a week off for the Arc as its continuous content, as opposed to limited time like RF and DXP.
@Try Hard - the thing with having fixed member lists is that it just shifts disputes from mass recruiting to memberlist adherence as new clannies can easily turn up to wars thinking they can compete (when they can't) without leaders noticing. Imo keeping a dynamic memberlist with a mass recruiting rule may be a little harder to enforce, but is less likely to cause disputes between clans.
@Try Hard - pportal would be nice for viewing orbs, but then again it opens up the possibility for disputes regarding non-clannies competing. Personally undecided atm
@Viv - pity you can't make rf this year =\ I completely lack charm and persuasion, but may give that form of advertising a shot

Of course, was just to take into consideration and maybe put one of the less time consuming competitions on that week if they do conflict, even though most of the competitions will take up quite a bit of time.

Just a thought for advertisement, I know a lot of people hand out business cards to advertise their clans, perhaps business cards to advertise the clan cup would work well? Would be even better if Mod Matthe would be a darling
and have it organized for business cards to go in the backpacks given out as you enter. I'd love to come to Runefest again this year but I'm currently not sure if I can make it as I planned on going by paying with bonds and tickets are almost out

Sorry for the late responses, busy week last week! Responding to everyone:

The main concern is just planted feet and the best way to solve this issue is to have a Mod make a statement on planted feet as I said before, clearly stating: "Yes we're leaving it as is, and it will not be considered as bug abuse" or "Yes it is bug abuse, and changes will be made to fix it". However auras such as Mahjarrat aura will not cause any problems, as you're not allowed to use it at Telos (http://puu.sh/q3NJ8.jpg).
Perfect then.

Oh and workload rarely gets split evenly as well. There's always one or two who take the brunt for the rest who tend to slack off - just to add another argument for minimising it.
I guess, but all I'm saying is that we can seize the opportunity is all if people would like to, and I personally would think it'd be a shame to waste an opportunity like this.

Always better safe than sorry and just host the 1 competition per week, and if we handle that well and find ourselves in a similar position down the line with Jagex having to big of a workload to host a clan cup, maybe we could look at 2 then.
If the overall consensus (at least from the you all who are contributing) is to go down to 1 then so be it. Like I said above I think it'd be a good opportunity to do something different, but I'm not all too bothered at this point. Also, for me it is the second cup I've helped host

Yea it is but I'd like some JMod confimation on whether or not it's a bug as it's currently unclear. If we get that then it clears up the entire thing for everyone in the future.

Also, we need to start thinking about when we start, cuz I know for kids anyhow, they start 2nd week of August. (I'm from the states)
Some do some don't. I start last week of September and I'm pretty sure I'm one of the last to start. So it's somewhere between August 15 - Sept 30 that stuff starts back up. We should at least have threads up by then. IIRC Calm was talking about doing it after RuneFest.

I'd like to start sign-ups a little earlier TBH, but let people sign up until like the week after RuneFest. Extra time to sign up means more competitors! That being said I'm in the same boat with you on the bonds & timing thing.

Please do! Try to tell as many people as you can, hell if only 10% sign up it's still worth! Also I have a couple ideas for advertising (different platforms to utilize, different community leaders (JaGeX and otherwise) to talk to, etc), but I think it's important to deal with finishing touches on the Cups first, then deal with advertising afterwards.

Not a bad idea but I'd think a flier would be about as good. Problem is who's paying for ink & paper
I wouldn't mind helping find/make the flier, but I'm by no means a graphic designer.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I super doubt they would do this. Also judging from the radio silence, Matthe organizing some kind of selection process for us seems doubtful too.
Going to update the doc soon(TM).

Mainly throwing ideas out there
Yes fliers would work well also.
If you guys haven't seen it yet; http://services.runescape.com/m=news/a=13/design-doc--bounty-hunter--deathmatch-pvp?jptg=ia&jptv=community_news perhaps this is something to look into for the PvP competitions? Of course it depends on it's release date etc but maybe there's something there we could use and it would be new!
Again, this organizing may take quite a long time with the 1-2 posts a day, and only had 1 reply the last time I mentioned it. It might be a good idea to get together on one day, for an hour or two or whatever to discuss and organize things. I'm aware many of you are super busy so just leave a comment with the days you have more time to spare.

Why I suggested Discord or Skype to help speed things up
But yea we should at least find some time soon to set up one of these to finish up discussing and organizing the comps, whether it's on RS or through Skype/Discord/TS. I'd say a rough estimate for when this needs to happen is by the end of July so we can have these done by mid August at latest. Then we just have to advertise around until it's time to start up.
