If you are looking for fmod assistance, go to the below:

Forums > Community Home > Forum Help

This is a suggestion thread to help inform people how to find Forum Help (see above), and also about how it can be made more accessible.

The official Forum Help sticky doesn't show up in your search results because stickied and locked threads by default don't show up, unless you manually change your search filter (Sort/Filter) each time. Forum Help also *isn't* in this Website and Forums subforum, because that subforum is for feedback and improvements to the Runescape website and the RSOF (Runescape Official Forums) :P

Suggestion:
Forum Help and other official threads should be easily accessible by allowing stickies (and possibly locked threads) to show up in quick searches--( Search Threads/Go to QFC ), at the top left corner of this page--*by default*.

OR include a link to Forum Help in the CoC (Nexus0rigin), or underneath the quick search next to the Forum Mods/CoC/Search Users links (Vera, Torchic). When an old Forum Help is locked and a new one created, an fmod can poke a jmod to update the redirect if forgotten.

Maybe even repurpose the Highlight post feature, at the bottom right of each post? Similar to how it used to be? (Thanks Hyles for the suggestion)

Please support this suggestion if this thread has helped you find Forum Help, or if you'd like to see Forum Help easier to find!!!

When I see threads asking for help with a thread, I give the directions to the forum help thread rather than linking it directly, so that if they ever need it again, they can find it themselves.

Forum help is in the community Home forum section and is usually one of the top 5 threads at the top of the page.

But yes, you really should be able to search and have it come up.

Looking into the search, it's actually not any different between the RSOF and the FOB :P

The quick search, which is seen on the RSOF doesn't have those options selected by default...but if you load the search threads page , the options are set to default.

This occurs the same way on the FunOrb module, the quick search (used in the qfc box) will not have locked/stickied threads selected by default...but if you select to load the search thread page on it, it'll have them selected.

My guess would be (though idk how easy it would be for them to implement it), but to pass the &inc_sticky=1 (and possibly the &inc*locked=1) parameters in the redirect so they get checked when a quick search is performed...sort of like this forum help search
Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?
"No."[1]

How do you get to the search threads page? People have mentioned it before but I was never able to find it..

And ah I see. On that link, stickies and locked threads are default toggled to show up, but you still have to click on the uncollapse button and my first instinct actually was to use the quick search bar that also shows up on the search threads page.

Cool trick! Cheers!

I support including locked and stick threads by default also in quick searches, however this thread did not help me so I'm not supporting this thread!
