"When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself... first, as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns, this time, as a great hero"
This is basically Jagex saying they need
more
money.
Which is fine they're a business but I can't understand their logic with bans...
If somebody is banned just allow them to pay a fine to unlock their account gold farmers wouldn't bother doing this the only people that would were the lazy people that botted a few levels or scammed the odd million.
This would give Jagex more memberships from returning players and even more money from people willing to pay fines and regular players wont be affected.
They did offer this service before but didn't advertise it well I'm sure if they did they'd of made bank.
INB4
"real life wealth shouldn't affect your ingame"
Void comment now Jagex has a rwt shop
"botting is as bad as murder you shouldn't be able to buy your way out"
Well in the UK (where Jagex is based) there's no death sentence so even murders get an expiry on their offenses
This is just my suggestion to bring more players and cure their financial crisis because let's be honest it's easier to get an old player back into RuneScape than a new player:
"hey mate come play this game with me oh actually you're level 3 and i'm maxed, go kill goblins alone for 3 hours then giants for a month straight and
MAYBE
we can boss together.
"
Well, I will be quitting then. It was a nice run. RuneScape has been alright but if you're going to be rising the price, well, there are games out there that will be roughly the same price but you get more than 1 character per account. For example ESO, pay 15 bucks a month and get what 5 or so characters? You can't compete with that. Good bye runescape.
The new price will be announced in early 2015, before the price rise itself happens. While the exact amount isn't finalised yet, it will remain competitive when compared to other MMOs.
Hopefully competitive with those free MMO's... Wait, who am I kidding? $15/month incoming
Free MMOs use serious microtransaction to pay the bill. .
So does RS (on top of charging you monthly, as well), what's your point?
RS3s has mtx but its not even close to the crap ftp games have..they sell 3x xp scrollls and other op stuff.
Osrs has none of that however.
LOL ?
What do you think RS3 does?
They sold the best method of training agility
They sell 2x xp
They sell xp outright
They sell gold
They sell supplies
They sell gear
They sell rares with an always-increasing in value
I could go on and on, the only difference is that the cost of items you get from RS3 can vary seeing as it's random and has no set price... Which when you look at it in a certain way is actually worse than those FREE games because you could be spending upwards of thousands of pounds for just one item you could get from said free games for a dollar or two.
please tell me where I can buy xp gear sups and rares in rs3 thx.
Buy a few spins then use them on SoF
I don't know how much it will cost you(as I said, the prices may vary) , but if you spend enough $$ you will get all the xp, gear and supplies you ever wanted. Rares are a limited time thing, you could try again in a few weeks when the new santa rare gets added to it

How about you make Old School a separate fee, cut the entire development team (sorry guys!), never add new content or updates, and cut the amount of servers. Then you don't need to increase the price!

So I bought 99 hunter, I get banned. I pay off the fee. I bot 99 agility, I get banned. I pay off the fee. If I'm lucky I dont get banned because everyone's doing it since its so pathatically cheap and catching them all is an infinitely insane task for one person. That ENCOURAGES people to bot, why would they do that?

They may gain people but i'd be walking out the door. My achievements and hard work would be undermined by the kid with daddy's wallet. If I want that I can play rs3 where at least I get a shot at freebie crap in the process thereby ensuring there's no value to begin with.

I'm dying to know how this works out and what the cost will be. Fair update IMO. Atleast we don't have to actually PAY for membership, we can just pay for bonds in game to get membership for "free", really not for free in runescape money terms but free in real life money terms.
