Your video at 1:22:30 talked about Season Pass, not loot boxes. Please watch it again carefully.
Again, cosmetics don't sell and single player games usually don't have much MTX because of lack of pay-to-win. Keep going in circle won't help you at all...
And in fact, Destiny 2 is becoming free-to-play in 3 months. It never have a subscription anyway. And the free-to-play conversion only means they are getting solely rely on MTX.
Soooo timestamp wasn't enough? You want me to quote them as well? Do you also need to be spoon feed you your porridge? Change your diapers for you?
"So we've been listening to the community a lot, season one didn't quite launch as well as we were hoping. The content was fairly underwhelming for players, so we've been taking that in, we've been getting all sorts of data from people buying
skins
to what they equip on their characters or weapons."
They're talking not only about season pass but also the launch of the game.
As for Destiny 2, I don't think you understand my point. Bungie are making changes to make the game more consumer friendly, and one of the things is reducing P2W MTX. I'm not complaining about cosmetics. Actually, you know what? You just backed my argument with your statement showing that Destiny 2 is doing just fine after reducing P2W MTX and relying more on cosmetics, thanks!
Didn't your quote clearly mentioned people buying
Skins
but not loot boxes? Yes, the skins are underwhelming that's why Apex needs the surprise mechanics.
You didn't know it is going to cost more to pay Destiny 2 when it bccomes free-to-play in 3 months. At least their players have to pay extra for DLCs. That's not just another layer of MTX their current player don't need to pay, but also a forced-to-play layer.

Support. Non-cosmetic MTX in a game ruins it.
Cosmetic MTX ruins the game too; to sell it, the devs have to make the MTX cosmetics look better than cosmetics earned from gameplay. P2W MTX is obviously worse, but neither are acceptable in a game like Runescape where you're already paying a monthly fee which alone gives Jagex plenty of profit.
"Volat Accipiter libera est; venandi sua natura est."
Fallout 76: Our game has no pay-to-win mechanics. We only have cosmetics. Oh yes, we have cosmetics with stats but it is still cosmetics and not pay-to-win. Oh yes, we sell progress buffs too but it is not pay-to-win. It is pay to progress faster.
Botherland 3: We don't have MTX... Oh what? you found cosmetics MTX in our game... Nope. cosmetics are not MTX, we only have cosmetics but we don't have MTX.

Yes? Did you miss my point? That Apex Legends wasn't doing well?

Please show the quote of what Respawn said about Apex Legends "not doing well" in E3. I knew EA said battle passes were not generated as much interest as they liked but that was before E3, and that's again battle passess not their loot boxes.
Why are you suddenly talking about skins/cosmetics???
Remember how you were so pleased with Apex Legends making EA a boatload of money?

Oh! Let me give you the real world reactions in term of $$$ on loot boxes in this case study:
Before Apex Legends, EA's stock traded at the $70 range. Wall Street firms like Jeffries downgraded the stocks due to lack of creativity and MTX.
After the release of Apex Legends and its friendly loot boxes among all the MTX you can think about, EA's stock has shot up to as high as $107 and now trading around $102. Jeffries and other Wall Street firms changed course and now all the next Fortnite.
Why are you turning your back against Apex Legends now? Because they're selling only cosmetics? But you weren't concerned about that before! You were even praising it!

Might be a reason why the game is doing terribly.

It won't cost more as Bungie are already cutting back on anti-consumer practices, even right now, it is starting to cost less.

Apex Legends is only selling cosmetics now? Uh Oh! Somebody don't know what Apex Packs are then.
Uh oh! Did somebody say Apex Legends was doing poorly with their loot boxes and tried to "prove" it with a video but uh oh... it turned out they said their players were not overwhelmingly buying their SKINS?
Uh Oh! Fallout 76 was doing poorly when they only sold cosmetics without stats, that's why they also sell xp buffs on top of cosmetics with stats, better known as gear, in most other games. That's right, cosmetics without stats are doing poorly.
Bungie is already cutting back on anti-consumer practices? When are they cutting? They are cutting their scheduled updates. Uh Oh! Somebody is running out of money to pay their devs.

Because skins are the bulk of the revenue so saying its skins sales not doing well is equivalent to its sales in general not doing well. If a fruit parlor has poor fruit sales but its smoothies and yogurt are selling well, is the business really doing well?
One look at the replies to that PC gamer tweet about Bungie delaying content to tackle crunch shows generally positive reception towards the decision, lmao thanks for showing that Bungie is not only becoming more pro-consumer but also pro-game developers, thanks for making my point about Bungie leaving Activision being a good thing even better!
