TH isn't leaving, players sure are.

(Concurrent) players are "leaving" in most online games, especially MMOs. Yes, TH and loot boxes stay, of course.

Anyway, the good thing is there are always some players like you, Runelower, who are still actively playing Runescape even after hitting maxed levels. This is still a very attractive game to most players. :)

White knighting"female" forum users is cringey

Not as crazy as many of those nosed-divingn MMORPGs with 50k concurrent players and 80% of them are 3PC/bots. :D

RS3 is actually doing quite well comparing to their MMORPG peers, partially thanks to the TH and Runecoins.

You know greedy corporate practices are becoming a problem when they finally start running afoul of national laws. Maybe external pressure from regulators is what will finally break jagex. It is a business that has been throwing away goodwill and lacing their products with manipulative and addictive practices. Even if the customers leave they still have addicts to milk.

There is no manipulative practices in TH as everything is optional and can be obtained free by playing the game. On the other hand, locking content behind paywall like subscription and DLCs behind paywall are more manipulative.

As for addictive practices, forcing regular players to grind for long hours are far so addictive than just getting a couple of TH keys for free daily or playing the game for extra. RS3 actually have a lot of anti-addiction content like daily challenges than many other grindy sweat-shop-like MMORPGs.

How does this make any sense? They intentionally nerfed xp rates for hunter and pof Just to design it to be more grindy or force you to buy more keys. Lets say someone wanted to do crystal chins before the hunter nerf, they would get 1.5m xp/hr. Now if that same person wanted to do them now, It's around 500k/hr, forcing them to stay there longer then normal, making it more "unhealthy" for their health. Before the hunter xp nerf A while back I got 40m hunter xp in under a week at crystal chins in a normal amount of time without getting addicted. Treasure hunter and daily challenges aren't anti addiction content. I also have over 600 laps completed at the fossil island agility course. Going to do more and play 20 hours a day just to get "addicted."
I need my blue charms back.

They did not intentionally nerfed anything. They just re-balanced some features. For instanced, butterflies and moths are buffed. They also added NEW features that give more rewards like BGH.

Even "nerfing" doesn't mean they forced you to buy anything, or else you can easily say they forced you to buy more months of membership too.

They did nerf xp rates for hunter. Just because they increased butterflies to 200k/hr doesen't mean they didn't nerf xp rates to a useless crystallize spell crystal chins and ornate tortles. These nerfs do not affect me but only new players. The game needs inflated xp rates to survive. I need my blue charms back.

So you realized they don't just nerf everything but also buff other things too, right? It is hard to realize anyway, especially when Anachronia significantly buffed agility.

Obviously, all those big xp buff in agility and new and extra game features for us to gain xp like BGH and more POF coming soon, weekly herblore events etc give us far more xp than a few months ago. New players are especially benefited by the mega xp rate, especially in Anachronia Agility Course. Don't forget new players are also getting buffs from using revolution mode too. How can one not see all these buffs and extra ways to gain extra xp?

Besides, even if you are willfully blind at all the New Player Experience, and buffs and extra xp granting new features, you still have no justification why the "nerf" only means something to TH or MTX but not the sales of membership.
