Yes, it only affects a small number of users. That's what OSRS Jmods said in yesterday's livestream. To my understanding, they said they need to do this for the stability of the game They are looking at a general fix but the OSRS technology is very old so it may take some time.

Hi everyone. OSRS

I had my OSRS account breached 4 days ago, and since the breach, I’ve been having this log in error. I’m unsure if this is a bug in jagex account system or if it is the breacher/hacker spam logging my account to stop me getting in as I know they didn’t manage to break into my bank.

They attempted to delete my bank pin so I believe they are spam logging with the belief that they will gain full bank access. I have changed my password a million times since the initial breach - AND my registered email incase that was breached.

I’m really glad to see it’s not just me having these issues (sorry!). I’ve been locked out of my account for 4 days now.

I’ve spent some hours trying to find work around and the only available option so far, is to link my account with Apple ID/Facebook etc (alternate log in) and log into RS3 via that method. Username and password log ins DO NOT allow account access and ALWAYS produce this error message.

I have tried VPNs, WIFI hotspots and even different WIFIs ie friends house etc and no luck.

Worrying to see how long this issue has been going on for and no fix from JAGEX. Seriously poor customer support and transparency regarding the issue. A paid/premium service should provide premium customer support but JAGEX offer none. Extremely disappointing. I have cancelled my membership and on the verge of saying goodbye to RuneScape after a long 15 year run.

I cannot express how disappointed I am with the team. I had to resort to extreme contact means such as Twitter etc but still no reply or contact with a staff member. Utterly disgraceful. You should hang your heads in shame with the clearly obsolete level of respect and gratitude for premium players paying your wages. The game wouldn’t exist without us and this amongst many other reasons aid to your current decline in game revenue, making you resort to the likes of bonds and in game purchases.

Get your house in order JAGEX.

It's happening to me again now. Just wanted to get on to open my master clue caskets, but NOPE!... Feel like I am slowly getting back to this happening every other day like it was about a month ago. So sad, annoying and frustrating - but even worse is no communication from them - and by them I mean those working with this, not those talking for them.

Anyone with the issue who get this message, if you want to a few of us have made a discord where we share some tips and tricks regarding this, but sadly they are not working for everyone, not even close, but it's also a place to gather more people with same issue and for everyone to not feel alone. once again I am getting the too many log in attempts .. ( I shall blame Mod Lyon for this .. lol ) .. I was good for almost a month ... last time it happened was the whole month of August ... Last time was August 31st ... now on September 30 I am plagued with this bug again

It could very well look like that, yes... Hmm. :( And now it's been happening for 2+ hours today so far.

I wouldn't know about the yak track since they don't interest me at all, but I haven't really experienced gameplay issues when playing only logging in.
