You can do a few quick workarounds:
Let us log with google on the desktop version.
At least validate the country of the IP where the login attempts are from and block those who are not related to the player's country.
Let us change our log in name.

Been affected for 4 days now. Jagex really has done nothing to fix this in over 6 months such a sad sight.

Don't worry guys its a feature lol... Unless it affects a large portion of the player base nothing is getting done. The only way you will get this resolved is to be a streamer and make enough noise that it can't be ignored and shoved away.

I've been stuck for 48h, then I was able to login yesterday, stayed for 2 sessions of 6h just so I wouldn't logout. In the evening, it started again with too many login attempts. On 24h of my second time this is happening to me...

I can login whenever I want from my phone but I can't play on it, cannot boss or do too click intensive activities on the phone.

Anyway, wanted to add myself to the list of players affected by this...

It's been about 5 days that I have not been able to login to Oldschool because of this bug. To be frank Jagex, it's literally pathetic you guys continue to let this happen. I expect membership reimbursement for the time I am missing because of an issue on your end. There's no reason for my account to work flawlessly for 6-8 months at a time and then have this happen 1-2x a year out of nowhere.

Fix this.

I thought after maxing in osrs I could finally play the game? Nope... I've now been experiencing this issue for 5 days. I've tried all of the above, google login via mobile is the only thing that bypasses this issue, a useless fix for pvm. The problem began and now persists completely without a trigger?

This is the 7th out of 8 days this has been doing this. It went for 6 straight days, I was able to play for half of one and later that day(yesterday) it started again. I'm doing a bug report on mobile and filling out the form on the support page every day this continues to happen. Honestly just because I hope it annoys someone at Jagex a fraction as much to see/delete all of my complaints as it does me not being able to log in and play the game because of a faulty security system that they made.

Sad to see so many new faces in this thread, yet happy to see so many still fighting to wake up Jagex on this one!! I'd highly suggest anyone affected to go show support in the newer reddit threads regarding our issue here.
