Has Jagex given any guidance or information regarding this issue?

I'm currently having the issue - was logged on fine, hopped off for an hour to grab some food and now I can't log back in? I can log into other accounts fine but on my actual account I've tried via mobile data and still having the same problem so it's clearly account specific...

When the only solution is to simply wait an hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, a day or longer....how is that a solution?

There is a page on the support site that has some "work arounds" Using a vpn, using mobile data, using the official RS/OSRS client, clearing your computers DNS cache, and literally just wait. If you are able to log onto an alt account on the same device, you may just be fucked like the rest of us. There is not fix. Jagex has basically said that we are collateral damage to their security feature that is "working correctly".

I have been hack more then once and again today someone gets in my account lock me out and ask for my pin removal. i just declined it but how can this even occur when i do have 2 step confirm on email and the damn account ! I really like to play this game but if I can't get somewhere without getting hacked.... That's the 3rd time i get those nice too many login attemps and everytime i end up in Castle Wars on a PVP server With my whole bank gone.. ANYONE HELP @jagex @mods -----

Well this shit lasted 6 days for me. I was finally able to get on last night. I've been playing all day. I just went to go to the bathroom, came back, and I am getting the same error message again. Who the hell knows how long it will last this time. Jagex knows this is going on. I had to create a twitter to message their support team. The response now is that they are aware of this issue and are working on fixing it. Which is slightly better than previous responses of oh we know this is happening but its only a small amount of players and its because of our security measures that are working. So who the hell knows at this point. But this definitely sucks.

Your PC might not be secure. Please run thorough security scans. Have you ever shared your account credentials with others? Did you ever click phishing/scam links e.g links to youtube giveaway's? Did you ever click anything out of the ordinary e.g someone offering you status in the game? Have you ever installed 3rd party clients or other things that you were linked in-game, forums or anywhere else?

Hi,

I'm an addict and I came to make another statement.

Monday I received too-many logins attempts, Sunday I managed to log in to the account and today again the bots / hackers / phishins did the too many login attempts AGAIN.

I am living as if everything is obscure, feeling in my gut the feeling of wanting to play on the account and not being able to because Jagex is ridiculous with its support and does not develop something to curb such acts.

There is a lot of money in the company and little professionalism, this case is ridiculous. I am an owner, a CLIENT of this game for over 10 years and the owner of the establishment seems to be in a prostitution ring, just watching the customers get fucked.

Thanks for nothing and I still can't play.

How is this priority #1 and still has not been resolved since July?

You can do a few quick workarounds:
Let us log with google on the desktop version.
At least validate the country of the IP where the login attempts are from and block those who are not related to the player's country.
Let us change our log in name.
