Would you trust a Price-checking service that has bots running in W2 advertising themselves constantly? I wouldn't!

I've had this around 30x a week since around March. I will be cancelling my subscription due to this as I have logged bug reports (no answer despite months ago and no resolution), tried all the written tips that i can be bothered with and there appears to be no long term solution and the short term solutions are a lot of hassle. I'll be leaving and taking my money to another game when my subscription ends.

This didn't always seem to work for me months back, but I recently linked my account to either facebook/google/apple and that has worked 100% of the times for me the past 1½. So login to your account on RS homepage, go to linking account and then link it to either and login via that from the client after - hopefully works for everyone else too! I know this has worked for many.

2nd for this working. Linked account to facebook and google. Both worked.

It had been over 36 hours of not working. Thankfully not longer than this. Mobile worked, desktop did not. I did notice that upon logging in to mobile, i received a "will not change pin" message, so possibly someone had tried to hack the account previously.

Things that did not work: changing password, adding google authentication, changing IP address, uninstalling and reinstalling, changing computer, using hotspot on my phone instead of local internet. Seemed hopeless until seeing this post, now I am back up and running.

Hello everyone,

I have the same issues, I was able to "solve" it after I linked my runescape account with my AppleID and I use the AppleID login and it works perfectly fine. But the normal user/password login doesen't work for me. I hope this helps anyone who encounters this issue ;) .

I have the same issue in OSRS. This has been ongoing for 2 days now and will most likely proceed until I end up quitting.

I am able to login to mobile and RS3 with no issues but when I login to OSRS I get the too many login attempts error. I have tried everything including clearing the DNS, VPN, mobile hotspot to no avail.

Can't OSRS client just add the login with google/facebook extension like RS3 does to fix the problems everyone is having?

Does anyone know if I keep trying to login how long that will prolong the issue? For example, if I try to login 5 times today, will I have to wait an 30 mins, an hour, or possibly longer? Not sure if it multiplies with each attempt.

To anyone that has managed to fix this by linking a Google / Facebook account - was your Runescape account made before 2010? My account only seems to allow me to login via my Runescape username.

Unbelievably frustrating bug, cannot believe Jagex haven't fixed this for months.
