If Jagex's system is protecting itself than it is done because at some points the same system is overly challenged thus triggered to dismiss all challenges.
They also said to not challenge it more as ... 'Repeated attempts to log in will prolong the issue'.

Every player is at least able to forward the necessary details to Jagex. If they want to. :)

Bottom line here it is not the fault of the victims, we don't even know what hit us. Nobody here in Runescape deserve this.

Correct, that is why the plot is thick. We don't really know how deep the rabbit hole is and Jagex is secretive.

Let me remind you how we get to this point. You originally asked the question if someone can't login for over a month, should he cancel the service and ask for a refund. And my answer is I think so and I will too. However, this is not the case in the user you quoted, as he evidently were happy with his subscription status despite of the "too many login attempts" issue he said he had over several months.

Err... This thread is good (so far) as it allows us to learn what Jagex wants us to know - don't login too many times too often unnecessarily, and don't try to login again and again over and over again if you get the warning message or else you get more time on your account lock.

If it turned into how to exploit the Security Feature, then it should cease to exist in Jagex's domain.

@Dilbert2001, If it matters to you, please check this thread: TOO MANY LOG IN ATTEMPTS . This thread was posted on July 3rd, 2020. It already has 10 pages. That's a lot of players experiencing this issue. Furthermore, see this one: too many log in attempts !!!!! . In this thread, you have Season & Yogosun -- two of the most famous players in RuneScape, both of whom have been here since 2002. Again, I'm not going to ask you if you think it's unfair because you will not answer, but I personally believe that nobody, specially those long time players, deserves to be losing membership and their time without being able to log in.

There is an article regarding this and Mod Lyon already confirmed that this is not a "bug"; however, users are following the instructions and they are still not able to log in. Community Helpers and other members of the community have suggested different approaches to try to solve this issue and for most people, it has not functioned, unfortunately. I understand that players are able to report their individual circumstances to Jagex, but another update regarding its status -- other than Mod Lyon's post on this thread -- would at least reassure players that they are either making progress or not.

Personally, I have not been presented with this issue, but I do feel their pain. If I were a top-ranked player and I weren't able to log in to be able to keep fighting for this position, I wouldn't be content. Apart from losing membership days, I am also wasting time and allowing others to catch up on me due to the fact that I am unable to log in due to this security feature.

I respect the feature and I am sure it's there to protect the system, but wholeheartedly, I believe there needs to be more communication between Jagex and players regarding an update to this dilemma. I'm sure it's a security feature, but it isn't really providing positive feedback to players that cannot log in.

Bottom line is we can't speak for all the players. Jagex will handle it their way and they should use Jagex's Support Center for proper and prompt attentions.
