Let me remind you how we get to this point. You originally asked the question if someone can't login for over a month, should he cancel the service and ask for a refund. And my answer is I think so and I will too. However, this is not the case in the user you quoted, as he evidently were happy with his subscription status despite of the "too many login attempts" issue he said he had over several months.
I personally asked you if you thought it was fair and I just received a response from you. I do not believe that just because someone is still a member it means that they are "OK" with what's going on. I have a another question for you, regarding this point of yours: In the case of Season, a top-ranked and well-known RuneScape player since 2002, considering that she is still a member, does that mean that she is fine with what's going on? Of course not. And the reason she hasn't cancelled her membership is because nobody in their right mind would throw away 18 years of game time because you say that if they don't agree with Jagex's terms, they should quit or stop paying for membership.

It does not work like that.

@Mrs Ana

"but another update regarding its status -- other than Mod Lyon's post on this thread -- would at least reassure players that they are either making progress or not."

I assume you know no new post usually means nothing new to post, as in the case when a few RSOF users kept asking when was Jagex going to make changes to the forums and Mod Lyon replied as Jagex has other priorities and then almost nothing else on that front since then.

Players with 'multiple' accounts have explained that not all accounts they do possess are affected by this problem ... SO ... there's more to this than meets the eye. ;)

Correct, that is why the plot is thick. We don't really know how deep the rabbit hole is and Jagex is secretive.
Is there really a plot, a real Illuminati at work or is it something really simple?
At the moment a lot of players do attempt to multi-login in RuneScape due to advantages/benefits and all accounts simultaneously login in/out over and over creates a lot of disturbance, triggering Jagex's system to protect itself.
Jagex, of course, does wanna protect its system for all regular players who play with 1 account not having issues of any kind.

Bottom line is we can't speak for all the players. Jagex will handle it t
Again, this is what you probably are not understanding. Players have been following the exact instructions and suggestions that Jagex has provided them with. To go even further, Community Helpers have come up with their own ideas -- ideas that are not included in the Support article regarding this issue -- to try to help players and this has not worked. Affected players are not receiving the "proper" or "prompt" attentions that you are referring to here and that's the main problem. Just people they are saying, "Do this and do not do that" it does not mean that it is working for these invidivuals.

Considering the amount of posts here and the threads that I have witnessed around the Forums, whatever suggestions that have been shared by Jagex and other helpers has not been fully working out for these people. That's why we are here.

You assumed correctly. What I wanted to say is that it'd reassure players that Jagex is actively trying their best to help those affected if an update was given -- even to say that they haven't made any progress is better than reading the same information that has been available since the Support article was added.

I believe I clearly expressed my PoV already. In case if you really don't understand - we can't talk on behalf of other people. If they think they want to pay for a service and pay for it, what you and me think it totally irrelevant. Whether the service is good or bad or worth paying for or not is THEIR OWN CALLS individually.

You can't just randomly put up some names and claim they don't like it or that because you don't speak for them.

But, you may speak for them when you say that if they do not like the service, they can cancel it. I got it now. Thanks :P .

Anyway, I am done posting here. I sure hope that those affected players are able to fully regain their access to the game and enjoy their gameplay. Thanks for the good conversation, everyone. Take care ^_^ .

You can't speak for them and use your own opinion and claim it is theirs. If these players want prompt attentions, they definitely will need to contact Jagex themselves for their own individual scenarios.

Going on third day and before those 3 days I could only play for 1 day on last week

We have all read and done what this message is telling us . I have also paid for a mobile hotspot (did not help)..I use a vpn (does not help). I reset modem etc etc etc...This is a bug on Jagex end and on their servers.

I have played for 18 years and this has never happened until THIS YEAR.

Jagex needs to fix their client or go back to browser based using Java.

I have reported this 25 or more times to (waste of time...no one is reading these reports)
https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360002267798-Too-many-login-attempts-from-your-address

and given email address with ZERO response from Jagex.

I can only assume they do not care and they are okay with losing players and letting game die a slow death. More and more players are being affected.

I am learning new games and hope they fix this soon.

Sincerely,
Season
