Suggested this in another thread

would this be an option that could be implemented?

Mainly to help clans who have issues with people, creating a kzillion F2P alts, to come in and troll.

We have a community of 3 clans guesting with one and other, so muting guests isn't an option.

I think a better way to combat this would be to close the CC to guests for a little while until the trolls get bored - after all, they're only after attention or a reaction.

I know it might not be the most ideal option with guests in the CC who don't mean any harm, but fortunately the 'someone spam-creating F2P alts to troll' situation doesn't come up too often, does it?

Even simply kicking troll accounts as they join the CC is a better option for the rare troll-situation, in my opinion.

Have you tried pm'ing these folks and instead of confronting them, asking them about their life and trying to figure out the underlying reason behind their behavior?

It's not a guarantee that it'll work, but if you treat someone with enough respect, they'll feel okay dropping their act and being human. Oftentimes their trolling is for attention, because they're lacking it in real life, and treating them with respect and as humans *might* make them think about their actions.

When you do this in private, you also don't get to "show off" how awesome you are at telling trolls off, or how "right" you are, which is another reason why it'll be easier for trolls to acquiesce to where you're coming from, since their ego isn't so much at stake.

That, and agreed with the reasons

I don't think it's fair to discriminate against free players like this.

if I run a members only pvm clan no f2p are going to be accepted to the clan, unless members have alts that go f2p sometimes that would be added to the cc not guests so it would just keep potential trolls out, by allowing players to make the reqs for individual clans we are discriminating against f2p players with your logic,

edit: id even like to take this a step farther and not let f2p players join my cc

No support, not all F2P accounts who guest maybe alts who join to spam. I prefer the Guest White-List idea Ceecs - leader of Ceecs Clan

Would be a useful tool. especially for all member only clans. So all clans will benefit and doesn't sound like a big job to do.

My F2P skilling clan is a F2P only clan, yet we've never had the need to not let P2P or ex-P2P players guest around, even if they can never become a member of the clan. Why? Because they're just people looking for a talk. I don't see any reason why membership status would affect whether you can or cannot talk to someone. You may not be able to talk about a lot of RuneScape, but there's a million more subjects in the world that aren't affected in the slightest by membership status. It's also easy to make rules what to and what not to talk about.

I think it's fundamentally wrong to separate an entire group based on the misbehaviour of a select few, as that's what's happening here. It's pretty much "oh 100% of the bots start in F2P, let's remove all F2P from the hiscores and tell them years later it has become a members benefit" all over again. Some F2P players are bad, but why the f*** does anyone in their right mind think it is okay to punish an entire group of people who have nothing to do with it, solely on their status.

The real problem is a couple of people abusing the ability to make F2P accounts to spam clan chats. Those are the people who should be punished on their main accounts. IP-bans and anti-flood mechanics would already make a difference.
