Hello Gentlemen.
Thus far I haven't really been posting, I have only simply been reading the perspectives shared here. I thought I'd take a small opportunity to share some of my views on it once more...
@Redtunnel's comments.
These are notions I completely agree to, with some minimal effort and coordination, we could bolster important clan updates, that we all want to see, via Runelabs. All it takes is dedication, and indeed, Runelabs is only one way to go about it.
Recently I discovered a truly remarkable and one of a kind App, created by: (I think his username is Skillbert.) He is someone who saw a problem, so took the time to amend it, and I'm sure hundreds by now are revering his work. (Known also as the Alt1 toolkit.)
@Scret/Andras comments.
Your points I also agree with, why should we have to do what Jagex should? Why should we have to give it the time of our busy lives? The fact is--we shouldn't--it's stupid that we'd have to.....However.
Let's get real, it must be blatantly obvious Jagex has better things to do then to listen to whining clan owners, including myself mind you, they have made that clear to the point as to be p****** on us without the respect or decency of calling it rain. (Forgive the crude dramatization.) And the people who do care about it, such as the esteemed Mod Maz and Matthe--just don't have enough power alone to get some of these things done, at the pace we'd like to see them.
So then it comes down to this:
Why shouldn't we develop our own updates and solutions?
If we can do the job better and faster then Jagex can, and provide a community service, we should in a way, feel obligated to do so, and coordinate how to go about that with others. And not just because we should, but because we can-and they can't......
