INTRO

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The world of Gielinor is magnificent, huge, and fascinating, but there’s no doubt that it can get lonely out there. That’s why you ought to join a clan.
We’re the Defenders Of Gielinor and we are going to tell you why we are the right clan for you!

Of course, our clan might not be the right clan for you. There’s no doubt that there are hundreds of thousands of clans to choose from and with that many, there’s a huge variety of social environments, players, events, and groups that you may find more appealing.

However, the Defenders Of Gielinor are able to offer almost everything that any other clan could offer! We do a little bit of everything, and you would be hard pressed to find something that our clan doesn't do.

From our humble beginnings in June, 2011, we have gone through so much as a clan. Everything that has happened has turned us into a large successful clan, while retaining a family-like environment for all members!
We have so much to offer, and we hope you consider joining us!

REQUIRMENTS

*Have 120+ combat as well as 96 herblore (can be boosted.)

RANKING SYSTEM

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Below are the ranks in the clan. The requirements to earn these ranks are listed below them. Only ONE of the requirements listed below a rank is required to earn it.

Recruit

*Join The Defenders Of Gielinor.

Corporal

*Gain 5 million exp since joining the clan.
*Recruit 1 person into the clan as a Recruit.
*Like our Facebook page and/or follow our Twitter.
*Join the clans Discord.

Sergeant

*Gain 10 million exp since joining the clan.
*Recruit 2 people into the clan as a Corporal.
*Like our Facebook page and/or follow our Twitter.
*Join the clans Discord.

If you wish to progress further in terms of ranking, you will be required to join our clans discord channel. This way, we can keep in contact with our members outside of RuneScape, and that you can see the clan announcements. You will also be required to have stayed in the clan for a certain period of time.

Lieutenant

*Gain 25 million exp since joining the clan.
*Recruit 3 people into the clan as a Sergeant.
*Host 1 successful event as a Sergeant
(Required to have been in the clan for 1 month.)

Captain

*Gain 50 million exp since joining the clan.
*Recruit 4 people into the clan as a Lieutenant.
*Host 2 successful clan events as a Lieutenant.
(Required to have been in the clan for 3 months.)

General

*Gain 100 million exp since joining the clan.
*Recruit 5 people into the clan as a Captain.
*Host 3 successful events as a Captain.
(Required to have been in the clan for 6 months.)

LEGAL SYSTEM

1. Language-Swearing is allowed, but don’t use any swears that could be considered “above,” the f-word. PG13 is a good way to think of what we allow in the clan chat. Do not direct swears at individuals. Also, english is the only language used in the clan chat, as it is a language that we can all understand.
2. Spam-Don't spam the clan chat. There really is no need for it.
3. Arguing- Avoid arguing or debating with other clan members in the clan chat. If you seriously feel the need to do either, then take it to private chat or a friends chat.
4. Scamming-DO NOT scam other clan members. You will be kicked and banned from the clan chat permanently if you are caught doing this, and we will alert other clans of your motives.
5. Botting-Using any bot and/or autoclicker is not allowed. We want our clan mates to be active, friendly, and talkative, not some mindless training drone.
6. Begging-Don’t beg for items of money in the clan chat. It’s ok to ask if someone wants to buy/sell an item for a fair price, but don’t ask for anything for free.
7. Trust Trades-Don’t ask for trust trades in the clan chat, as this can lead to scamming.
8. Topics-Don’t bring up topics on race, religion, drugs, politics, or anything else that could be seen as offensive. These are sensitive subjects for some people, and do not belong in the clan chat.
9. Power Abuse-Abuse of power by a rank will get you deranked, and a one-time warning. Anytime after that, it will get you kicked. Admins are trusted with a lot of power, so with great power comes great responsibility. If you really feel the need to kick someone, then do it. But if they aren’t causing any major issues, then let it be until a higher rank comes online.
10. Respect- Treat all clan members with respect, no matter age, rank, race, skill level, or religion.

COUNCIL

The following ranks are for the leaders of the clan. You must be a veteran of the Defenders Of Gielinor in order to earn these, and you need to be someone who sets an example for the rest of the clan. You must follow the rules, be helpful, friendly, and active. You must also cap on the citadel when asked to do so. People who have a negative or toxic attitude, or those who start drama won't be allowed to hold these ranks. You can receive these ranks by fulfilling ALL requirements listed below each rank, or via a council application. Any key rank is allowed to rank anyone up to admin as they see fit, by consulting the High King and other monarchs first.

Admin

*Recruit 5 members into the clan as a General.
*Host 3 successful clan events as a General.

Orginiser

*Recruit 10 members into the clan as an Admin.
*Host 5 successful clan events as an Admin.

Coordinator

*Recruit 15 members into the clan as an Orginiser.
*Host 7 successful clan events as a Orginiser.

Listed below are the “key,” ranks. There's no guideline to earn these. There are a limited amount of people who are able to hold these ranks. This is the HIGH COUNCIL, which consists of 4 monarchs and 5 other people who hold a position of power in the clan.

So, are you interested in joining? Our applications are simple. Remember, our only requirement is to be a member (Pay to play,) on RuneScape, and to meet the Total Level/Combat Level requirement. The application is below.

After applying, you may want to send a private message to a member of the council, if you wish to join right away. The answers in your application do not define you, or your rank in the clan. It is your actions that will define that. If there are questions you don't feel like answering, then don't answer them! We won't ask why. We'll accept almost any application.

That sums it up! When you have posted your application, PM me or join our clan as a guest to let us know (The official name is DefendersOfGielinor, no spaces.) We don't merely recruit by the forums, by the way. Like I said before, we accept anyone, as long as they meet the requirements.

COUNCIL APPLICATION

If you think you have what it takes to be on the council, and think you could help lead the defenders, you can submit a council application instead of a regular one. These are not recommended if you don’t feel like you can contribute a lot to the clan. Being on the council doesn't have any huge obligations, but if your application is accepted, you won’t immediately get an admin rank when joining the clan. You’ll need to prove that you are worthy of having that rank. How you do this is up to you. Whether it be recruiting, holding events, giving ideas, or generally helping to run the clan, you’ll need to do something after you join the clan to get your rank, and it needs to be BIG. You could simply earn a spot using the regular ranking method, but this application of for those who feel like they could do even more. Keep that in mind when submitting a council application.
