Annie nodded to the answers she got from the creatures. She watched the damage creature went in the hangar began reforming and soon disappeared down a few passageways. Then they saw a blast door damage and it opened. The other creature jumped on the ceiling for some reason and told them to follow it. She started to follow it. She asked in a quiet voice,"Where are we going?" -Dances-

London fell in behind Annie, shrugging at her comment. She probably didn’t even realize the question wasn’t aimed at her.

If Ryder’s comments seemed crude and illogical, it was perhaps because the situation gave him plenty of room for pause. He reveled in destruction; something the alien apparently did not account for as she proclaimed her closing speech.

“Tch” Ryder spat, uncrossing his arms. Did this squid monster never shut up?

As the Matriach finished her sentence, Ryder gathered dark energy around the blue lady, preparing to unleash a biotic lash. Perhaps it was instinct, or the fact that he simply didn’t like aliens; either way, the time for talking on her terms had evidentially passed.

Whatever his reasoning, Ryder’s attack would be enough to send an unarmored unshielded man flying for the hills, should it should hit successfully.

It’s been a long time coming...

And, if there was only one reason Morinth wanted to be here, then she was just as dangerous as the opponent that was now facing them. Only one thing kept X7A from killing their ally there and then, and it was the simple fact that she could not afford to dispose of an asset at this point in time. They did not know their foe’s capabilities, at least not the extent of them, and the threat level here was simply too great to remove a future problem before it was necessary to do so.

The words of the entity were essentially lost on X7A, as she did not care to enter into discourse with a target. That was one of the most basic things taught: never engage your target in discussion unless it was required. Too many failures were born of unnecessary discourse: delays by the target, conversions through honeyed words, and other situations as well. All of them were problems that would prevent a mission from reaching success, and that was not for the Government agent that did not fail.

If this being wanted answers, actions could provide them.

However, it was not her that took the first action. Ryder made the first move, one that sent X7A running to the side to get out of the way. The field formulation and engagement meant that his intent was to bring the target towards him, and she was in the direct path of that. Acting now would be in haste, and for the moment it was more worthwhile to see what the reaction to her ally’s attempt would be. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

“We are leaving the airbase,” the Geth Hopper replied.

Electronic-sounding gunfire, and strange howls, echoed throughout the base. Annie, London, Lucas and Lily overheard fast footfall coming from behind them. From the darkness, strange blueness glowed in the shape of nervous systems, accompanied by hollow, aggressive breathing and hissing.

“Hostile targets acquired: Husks incoming,” the Geth Hopper remarked.

The damaged Geth Trooper turned around and opened fire, pulses of plasma sputtering upon the incoming glowing things. The Geth Hopper stuck on the ceiling, turned its head, and a powerful laser shot out its eyepiece, striking one of the approaching things and killing it. However, many more of the strange creatures were incoming.

“Go. Covering fire,” the Geth Trooper said, standing its ground and firing at the Husks while the children went through the blast doors.

“This way, follow me, citizens,” the Geth Hopper instructed, crawling along the ceiling to escort the children, it’s headlight-like head serving as a constant beacon for the children to follow.

The next blast door was a short distance away. The Geth Hopper jumped down to the terminal and operated on it, but it would need some time before opening the door. The echoes of the damaged Geth Trooper’s pulse rifle and the Husks’ inhuman vocalizations reverberated down the hallway, but by the sounds of it, the damaged Geth Trooper was holding itself, for now…

Nearby, was another terminal. Beyond the windows down the according hangar, seemed to be a mech-producing facility, obviously inactive. A closed sliding door led to the hangar.
At the other side of the hallway, was another sliding door, which seemed to lead to a storage room.
Since Annie had acquired an omni-tool, she would be able to use the omni-tool to open any of the sliding doors if she wished, but would need a few seconds to open one chosen door.

On the wall was an opening leading into a ventilation shaft. The terminal beside it could be activated simply by hitting it, and so open the vent. Or, perhaps there was something else anyone wanted to do?





Ryder and X7A

None of the agents engaged in much dialogue. Ryder cast a Biotic Lash, so X7A darted off to the side. Morinth opened fire, and the abomination screeched, swiping her massive hands and claws wildly at the angelic Asari.

Morinth’s gunfire and Ryder’s lash struck the Asari; surrounding her was a Biotic Shield, and some sort of Biotic Sphere that constantly expanded and contracted around her. The two layers of Biotic protection protected her enough so that Morinth’s gunfire thudded against the Asari’s body, but failed to penetrate her. The bullets left holes in her robe and blood leaked, but Zerasar was clearly alive.

Feeling Ryder’s Biotic Lash pull her, Zerasar formed a Biotic Charge, using Ryder’s own Biotic attack to amplify her own. She smashed into him with mighty force, knocking him off his feet and he slammed against the flooring. Zerasar immediately spun around, unleashing a curved wave of Biotics forth, hurling Morinth and X7A off their feet, but the abomination just staggered.

Morinth actually slid along the flooring and actually fell over the ledge, but she used her Biotics to slow her fall, just enough to grasp the drop-off and pull herself up. X7A probably found her own means to avoid being thrown off the ledge.

Leaning forwards and screeching, the abomination summoned a Biotic field of some sort, which frequently cast small but potent Biotic attacks at Zerasar. The abomination also swiped Biotic balls at the Matriarch, the attacks hurting Zerasar, but her Biotic shielding remained firm.

“Try again, old woman!” Morinth shouted, in a good mood, firing at the Matriarch again while walking sideways. Morinth’s body glowed with Biotics as Zerasar faced her, exposing her back to Ryder, while the abomination and X7A probably were about to perform their next round of action...

Annie strange gun fire and yelling throughout the base. She also heard fast footfall coming from behind the group. As she looked at the strange creatures, it looked like strange blueness glowed in the shape of nervous systems and it made her very nervous. That's when she heard one Geth Hopper said and heard the broken Geth Hopper started shoting at the strange creatures as she followed the Geth Hopper threw the blast doors and threw the base.

Then they got to another blasts door and waited for the Geth Hopper to opened the door. She looked around the area and saw two sliding doors. She went to the closed sliding door which led to the hangar. She took out her omni-tool and started to work on the sliding door. -Dances-
