That really shouldn’t be here

This was time to test a theory. What they were facing was certianly an abomination, but the question was whether it was a willing one or not, and also, should it not be, whether or not it had any of its original mind left. It spoke once, but that once was what seemed to be worth trying to act on.

Shifting the location from which the gravity was pulling, X7A made an attempt to do the opposite of what she had just tried. Instead of crushing the device into the floor, she tried to rip it off the floor. While it looked like biotics made someone the target of these green aura extension, her own abilities did not seem to do the same, and so until it showed otherwise there was no reason to cease usage.

With most of her energy focused on disruption of the spherical device, all she did when it came to the biotic attacks was avoid them, either by normal avoidance movement or by using small gravitational pockets to accelerate her movements away.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Annie and London - Toward the End

So, here it was again. Annie thanked the creature for its help from earlier, and encouraged it to speak.

Meanwhile, London, after regaining itself, requested not to be probed by the aliens. The humans were peaceful, after all

The Geth Hopper tilted its head, then cast a rather weak laser into the glass, just strong enough to gradually burn a circle into it. Pushing the circle of cut glass, the hopper then crawled through the hole. The damaged Geth watched its friend enter, then the two stared back at Annie, making strange whirring and beeping noises. The damaged Geth Trooper’s “head fins” tilted, and its head-light extended a little.

“Annie-Civilian, Metamorph,” the Geth Hopper remarked, standing upright bipedally. “We know of you.”

“London-Civilian, Lily-Civilian, Lucas-Civilian,” the Geth Trooper remarked, looking at London and her dumbstruck friends.

note: if a user does not know, this is how geth sound like:

The Geth Hopper looked up, strange electronic, grinding, and mechanical noises faintly echoing throughout the area.

“Evacuation necessary. Scanning airbase and extranet data,” the Geth Trooper said.

“Affirmative. Civilians, any data requests?” the Geth Hopper asked...

Ryder and X7A - Toward the End

X7A seemed to understand what the beast had said, while Ryder remained on stand by. So, she lifted the spherical device, uprooting it from its cables. Immediately, the cables ripped out the system, sparks flying for a moment. As the smell of burning plastic and wiring came, the green aura’s arms gradually faded away. Morinth staggered but regained herself, shaking her head, eyes and veins still glowing green.

As for the monster, she stopped, and slowly turned around, exhaling through clenched teeth. Her face loosened up a bit, her breathing slowed and lost intensity, and her aggressive demeanor disappeared. Morinth, however, kept her distance, glowing green eyes gazing at the monster, just in case.

The abomination backhanded the air, casting a rather powerful Biotic wave, which pushed the spherical object into the wall. Another Biotic wave pushed away the green aura, and the aura dissipated into nothingness. A third Biotic cast uprooted the series of cables beneath the spherical object, revealing yet another passageway going deeper into the airbase. The monster turned her torso, and beckoned X7A with her claws.

“Hunh... Zerasar must have made some renovations.” Morinth mumbles. Her eyes glowed faint blue, some Biotics whirled around her, and the green aura faded away from her.

The abomination calmly stepped into the hole, and walked farther into the airbase.

“Guess we follow her, now. Be ready for anything.” Morinth remarked, reloading her AR, then hopped down the hole. Presumably, the two agents followed her as well.

The next passages were rather labyrinthine. X7A’s scanners were functional but could not work very well. Whatever was so far underground, severely interrupted with her systems, even the agents’ radio would not work. The passages looked like:

so provided enough lighting for anyone who needed light. Obviously, this underground area had its own power.

The abomination was unresponsive. If anyone tried to communicate with her, as Morinth did occasionally, the beast would just ignore them and continue walking onward like a big, creepy cyber-zombie. She seemed to know the way through the maze of passages.

Eventually, the current passage led to an opening, revealing a rather big chamber, looking like:

Whatever this place was, it seemed unfinished, but clearly the massive beaming light in the centre signified something of utmost importance. The beaming power hummed and radiated.

Although her systems were debilitated, X7A could still attempt to utilize them in the area. Her scanners, as struggling as they were, suggested she would have to walk straight to the centre of the chamber to establish minimal connection to the source of this area’s power.
Clearly, Matriarch Zerasar would not be revealing herself to those who would kill her, at least not willingly. Perhaps X7A could find a way to lure her?

Ryder’s Biotics may also be of use here, somehow?

The monster is currently walking towards the core of the chamber, whilst Morinth is investigating the place with her omni-tool.

Annie stood in shock that the strange creature knew her name, what she is, and know of her. The other strange creature knew London's, Lily's, and Lucas' names. She doesn't understand how they knew that and that scared her. She asked in a nervous, tired voice," How do you know of me? How do you know our names? Evacuate to where? What is really going on? What kind of data do you have?" She still felt very weak from everything what happened so far. She felt very confused of what's going on. -Dances-

London:

London blinked, her gaze shifting between the lightbulb, Annie and the cockroach scuttling through the darkness. There seemed something odd here; not about the lightbulb, the information it possessed or the questions Annie asked. Rather, London took notice of the “music” the spiderlike being played. There was a rhythm to it, maybe.

Perhaps London could make out what the Geth transmitted? Or maybe London was crazy. Either way, she pointed towards Annie, following up on Annie's statement with a brief, “Yeah! London agrees with what she said!”

--

Ryder:

The creature seemed to go break after the “beating” it took, tearing out the spherical object, meekly waddling through a new passage. If Ryder’s mood to this resolution could be summed up in one word, it would be disappointment; he was hoping for a catfight. Blood, gore, circuitry. Well, whatever.

“Tsk. There’d better be a trap on the other end of this,” Ryder sneered. “AI really is crapshoot, huh?”

Despite his bravado, he still kept his senses focused on the abomination and the surrounding tunnels. After all, if this was all it took, he would be sorely disappointed. One lousy defective abomination was hardly worth his time.

Perhaps their time in the tunnel was quiet; perhaps this was a blessing, for Ryder certainly wasn’t the sort to bring up pleasant topics with sexbots or inferior aliens – or anyone at all, really. As they entered the large room, his eyes fixated on the light at the center of the repository. Perhaps it was a power source, or maybe a LED covered floor. He flexed his fists; he was all too eager to test that theory.

No need to repeat it again

The hypothesis was correct, and proved yet another point that X7A failed to fully understand. Genetic abominations were usually less useful when they could think, as nothing ever wanted to become on, but it was only without that thought that they would be obedient. Pawns were only useful as long as they followed orders, and when they did not want to anymore...well, you got what was happening here.

And what was happening here appeared to be a turn of allegiances, as X7A had predicted. No enemy such as this would speak without a purpose, and the purpose had been freedom. For the moment, that was useful to them. Whether or not this creature would remain allied with their purposes in the future remained to be seen.

The interference as they descended was unfortunate, but anticipated. That there was any response at all was surprising, as a place like this would be expected to have an effective jammer. However, since it was below a Government base, and a jammer may have been detected, it was at least a reasonable precaution not to install one. Even if it blocked effective scans, simply knowing there was something to hide would be enough to cause problems.

As per usual, Ryder’s comments were illogical and impractical. While she was anticipating a trap, there was no reason to wish for one.

The large chamber was not a welcome sight. Too much could be here that would be a problem, and the size of it meant that there was no easy way out; it would be simple to trap them in here. While her own abilities could afford her an escape, it was possible they may be nullified in some capacity. It was a very remote possibility, but one that needed to be kept in mind nonetheless.

Unless Ryder did something that would make her approach towards the middle a dangerous venture. X7A would slowly approach the center. What she planned to do would need to be figured out later, but for now she just concentrated on getting there without being attacked.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Annie and London

Annie asked questions, and London agreed to them. The Geth Hopper looked at Annie.

“Our neural network, bandwidth, virtual intelligences, and software allows us to scan the extranet and data of your world. We downloaded it, Annie-Citizen,” the hopper replied, its light casting on her face.

“Evacuation out the airbase is all that is necessary. Unknown virus uploading code into our network. Our firewalls insufficient. Airbase synthetic security uploaded with code; synthetic security activation imminent. Automated defenses activation pending. Hacking airbase systems. Initiating evacuation protocol,” the damaged Geth Trooper said, and at that, the Geth down in the hangar began reforming and soon disappeared down a few passageways.

The Geth Hopper jumped suddenly, sticking onto the ceiling, while the damaged Geth Trooper withdrew a pulse rifle and headed down the hallway. The blast door subsequently in the way whirred to life, sparks and zaps appearing, and then it opened. The Geth Hopped crawled along the ceiling, then stopped and turned around, casting its light at the kids.

“This way.”

Ryder and X7A

Curiously enough, the cyborg understood lifeforms better than the human. But, whatever could be the purpose of abominations, which seemed to serve no purpose? Only time would tell. X7A’s scanners concluded that, given enough time, she would be able to reconnect with Michael. It seemed that Governmental software was working to help her. Whatever would happen here, would impact the world.

Into the chamber, which looked suspiciously empty. The chasms were very, very deep; wouldn’t want to fall down them. X7A headed across the flooring, footfall echoing. The monster and X7A reached the central thing soon enough, without trouble. Morinth kept her distance, and Ryder did whatever he did.

“Be careful, Ryder. If you drag your knuckles, you might fall. It’s a long way down,” Morinth remarked to Ryder. She began typing in her omni-tool.

Reaching the centre, X7A’s scanners worked a bit better, curiously enough. The centre appeared to be a main console of some sort. It was uploading codes, and even had its own network and bandwidth. Since it clearly was not jamming X7A’s scanners, then...

The main console connected to X7A’s systems for a moment. The main console whirred to life, opening up like some sort of puzzle box. Bright white light beamed forth, the monster raising a clawed hand to cover her face. Mechanical noises echoed, and a silhouette appeared. Like some sort of angel, someone stepped through the white light, looking like,

Amidst strange whispers, slow but loud breathing, and strange computerized chatter echoing from the main console, the angelic lady stood before X7A. Considering her regal, graceful appearance and attire, there could be no mistaking who she could be. She was quite tall, perhaps two metres in height, her loose-fitting attire making her look large. Unlike many Asari, this one had some piercings, and facially was quite distinct from her race. Her glowing eyes clearly suggested intense concentration of some sort. Her arms were crossed over her chest, hands over the front of her shoulders.

“And thus you chose to be polite, instead of wrecking up the place,” the tall, angelic Asari remarked. She had a crystalline voice, naturally having a strong, loud voice, only amplified by her height. She did not have an omni-tool, so, another curiosity of her, she spoke English fluently.

“And now what? You will try to kill me, because you were told to do so?” she asked. The monster stood idly, breathing heavily, but did nothing.

X7A’s scanners detected an extremely high threat level. Undoubtedly, this matriarch’s Biotics were beyond even Morinth’s. Considering the abilities of an Ardat-Yakshi, well, there really could be only one reason why Morinth risked everything to get here. She remained confidently calm, watching eagerly, walking forth casually, hips swaying.

“Oh well... I’ve grown tired of life anyways. But don’t expect this to be easy. If instead you have decided a different path, I will oblige.” she finished.

This clearly was not the same behaviour as the mysterious green aura from earlier, but...
