As she intended, X7A reached the next elevator, but took to the stairs. Along the way, she encountered some groups of personal here and there, most either transporting wares or nervously talking about some sort of problem up in the android-manufacturing facility. She overheard some unimportant things, such as mention of lack of active security and generic chitchat of what could be happening.
X7A descended the stairs. The stairway was quite deep, going down, down down, into darkness. The bolts were not always done right, the metal stairs sometimes shaking as X7A descended, but fortunately not breaking from the wall.
“Michael here. Well done on rearranging their communications. This should make your mission much more convenient. I am tracking the network as best I can, but it remains an unknown. I am also scanning the emails you copied and sent, they will undoubtedly prove as useful evidences in court, should the need arise.” Michael’s voice sounded.
“As for this global AI, it is quite a find. So far, there is no legal documentation of its existence, but if it does exist, it cannot be from a governmental program. We don’t know what we are dealing with, and it can be anything from a foreign military program to a terrorist project. Whatever you do, when you find this facility’s mainframe, find out what this AI really is. The mainframe is heavily encrypted and firewalled. I don’t know how, but it is capable of withstanding even military grade hacking, I can’t get into to it. You will have to manually access it. Michael out.”
Once X7A reached the bottom floor, scanners detected much more activity. ADVsoldiers patrolled the bottom floor, and personnel transported a lot of various mechanical and computerized parts.
