X7A

Undoubtedly, this place was used for preparation of some kind, but a few things remained unanswered. She had the name Maal’Lok sent to Michael. Since he did pass clearance and so came to Earth legally, governmental security could have a word with him and his crew, due to some evidence of he being involved with the Mafia.

Since the jamming was a bit in the way, X7A decided to investigate and briefly looked over the robotics facility. It was mostly manufacturing LOKI Mechs, but there were some YMIR Mechs, and even a few unmanned Atlas mechs. So far, all mechs remained inactive.

Huge storage crates dotted the areas along the walls here and there, piled upon one another. From the ceiling, mechanical arms transported containers full of fuel, platforms of androids, containers of Element Zero, and who knows what else. Along the walls were some catwalks, but quite narrow, as everything seemed rather cramped.

Since safety and space were rather limited in this operation, machinery was rather close to walkways and catwalks, the robotic arms transporting things along the ceiling sometimes passing directly over the catwalks and bridges. Various ventilation shafts were visible along the walls here and there adjacent to according catwalks.

Personnel numbered perhaps a dozen, most looking after the computers or inspecting parts, and they minded their own business. A few manually moved mechanical parts, crates or containers to create some extra room, sometimes carelessly piling them rather close to the machinery, welding, and laser operations in the android-manufacturing operations. Indeed, this place would never pass a safety inspection!

One wall was lined with windows, each window that of a room. Inside the rooms were one person each, some of the people wearing straitjackets and what appeared to be isolation helmets (probably forced on them).

X7A remained solitary, minimizing suspicion. Even to the few people she had passed along her walk, they did nothing, assuming her to just be a very short worker or something.

X7A went to the area with the jamming signal. It was a few hallways down, but she found it, the door sliding open for her mechanically. It led to a rather long room, jampact with terminals and all sorts of computers, so much so, there was a slightly zigzagging path through the maze of computers. She heard the key card she had make beep.

“Welcome, Gabriel Perez, to Communications.” a feminine but rather slow and boring computerized voice greeted X7A as she entered the room, which was full of large computer terminals, showing various screens, scanners, readings, results, and whatnot. The doors closed by themselves behind her. Like most of the facility, the room was dark, but the many computers running offered some light. It seemed X7A was alone, save for a solitary FENRIS Mech bubbling about randomly.

The feminine computerized voice continued:
“Gabriel Perez, please contact Arnold McNiece. As per your contract, three tonnes of Element Zero and two tonnes of Red Sand are to be delivered to ERROR_01556g3745 and shipment overdo by: five days, thirteen hours, seventeen minutes, and fifty-two seconds; status report: currently located in Morristown Police Department. Outstanding debts owed to ERROR_87205a1117. Account balance minus six million, four hundred fifty two thousand, seven hundred and twenty two, credits. Please contact federal bureaucrats for your outstanding debt. Unread message recently sent from: Gabriel Perez, two minutes and twenty five seconds ago, at 11:47 PM, April 18, 2275, labeled urgent.”
Gabe’s personal computer was at the side, open and active, probably detecting his key card and so was useable.

Although not a technician, X7A could establish a connection with her cybernetics into the jamming device, and proceed to uploading a virus or bug. If she had any specific form of virus or bug, she could use that.

Alternatively, if she wanted, she could do some “rearranging” the old-fashioned way. Depending on how much physical damage she may choose to inflict, that may cause some serious chaos, but would undoubtedly be rather suspicious.

By the looks of it, Gabriel had access to the warehouse and facility’s communications, and she had access to the intercom. Whatever she planned next, she could do, then begin to proceed to whatever she intended afterwards.

She had a wonderful nap? Here? Or was that sarcasm? Whatever. She got up and checked on the window, to see what the tapping was all about. That was when something crawled over the window suddenly, and with extremely fast reflexes, then leapt off.

The thing looked like: (you only need to watch a few seconds)
https://youtu.be/poce5vcQQW0?t=1m52s
Whatever it was, it was now on the back of a concrete underhang of the infrastructure, hands and feet placed against the concrete, the thing making strange clicking and beeping noises. It looked like some sort of one-eyed cyber-frog, and was obviously man-sized.

As the robotics facility continued humming and working, machinery cranking and whirring, Annie noticed a few personnel here and there, and they simply minded their own business, operating computers and checking on the manufacturing operations. None of them seemed to have noticed the thing that was momentarily crawling over Annie’s window, and whatever this thing was, continued staring at her.

Annie looked out the window and saw a strange creature staring at her. She put her hand on the window and smiled at it to show that she wasn’t going to hurt it. She said in a nervous voice, “Hello, there. I won’t hurt you. Can you hear me? Who are or what are you?” She hopes this creature doesn’t hurt her. -Dances-

London

London awoke from what had to have been one of the longest and most restless night’s sleep ever. Their back felt crunched and their neck cramped; it was almost like someone had taken all the fluff out of the bed! But all of this was fine, London was comfortable enough. Well, comfortable enough in all ways but for one pressing urge that tugged relentlessly at their half delirious mind…

… Toilet… ” London muttered sleepily.

London hopped to, rocking their way onto their feet. Well, that was the idea, anyway. Legs crossed, London found themselves tripping on their own feet. Stumbling a few steps, London thought they might have been successful, and they were… to a degree. In their attempt to stay upright, London’s arm’s had passed through several beams, all of which gladly shared 50,000 volts down London’s body.

“Bzzt” the trap sizzled, as London let out a small yelp. Gritting their teeth, London pulled their arm back. Too hard, London realised, as London slipped on the metal. Falling back through the beam, London’s view blacked into static for a moment, as their body passed through the shower of pain!

London landed on the ground, hard. Sprawled upon the ground, London’s eyes bolted open, now wide awake. Crossing their arms across their chest, London took two breaths before rolling back onto their feet.

The brief pain now a thing of the past, London was now painfully aware they were in an unfamiliar room. There was a super scary looking mech, some sort of computer and a red glowy light surrounding the weird metal bed in which they had laid. Only, it couldn’t have been metal, right?

London’s hand passing through the laser triggered the shock mechanism again. “ Ow. Ow. OW! WORST. ALARM. EVER. ” London cried.

It was clear that London was now awake and free, and was not quiet in their machinations. Unfortunately, neither was their gut, which now cried and churned for release.

This was good; there were plenty of ways that she could catastrophically disrupt operations inside the robotics bay. There were not many staff on hand, or at least not enough to stop her from taking care of things here and most likely not enough to solve any problems she might cause. Everything was close together and working in tight quarters; perfect for causing a great deal of damage with little effort.

It was the singular cells on the far side of the facility that she made particular note of, however. One of those in the cells was the young girl she had seen entering the warehouse before she did, and if everyone in these cells was like her it was likely that they all held metamorphasis abilities. The isolation helmets that she could see indicated that these people were not here by choice, and therefore might be useful as a distraction should she need another one.

As of yet, she was still free from suspicion, and because she wanted to stay that way she did not attempt to set up anything to go off immediately. It was unlikely she would need to, and since it was already in a somewhat precarious setup it would be easier than normal to set off some chain reactions when it came to it.

The jamming room was about what she had expected, with the difference that there was nobody inside. There was a mech, but once again she saw this as abnormal. In any operation that she had been part of or destroyed, such a station was always manned by at least one person. It was absolutely necessary to make sure such a place was being monitored in case something happened like she was about to try.

An announcement that this was “Communications” made her instinct push for her to be even more cautious. Now there was no excuse for the lack of personnel here, and as with above it felt like things were clearly out of place. A solitary FENRIS mech could do nothing with communication terminals; it was no different than expecting a chair to answer the computer it sat in front of.

Yet there were no bodies, and she could not detect any, living or dead, at the present moment.

Nevertheless, despite everything she analyzed, there was no immediate danger, and what she had to do in here was important enough that she was going to move onwards. It was already noted that she was here, and despite her clearly not sharing whatever biosignature the man Gabriel possessed it didn’t seem to matter. Mech programming was typically like this: as long as the individual held the card that identified them, nothing else mattered. She knew that most groups or organizations couldn’t afford to put biosignature reading devices at all of their facilities, but that was an oversight that just made her own work easier.

Her first priority was the jamming signal, although the action she took was not something that would be immediately noticeable, at least not if it went correctly. Her intention was to take the signal and tune her own communication array into it, giving her unrestricted communications both within and outside the facility while also piggybacking on and allowing her to listen into whatever communications were not being jammed without being revealed as doing such. As an addition to this, she also would try to give her control over the signal’s distribution, so that, should she choose to, she would inhibit all communications within the facility except for her own. As with the robotics facility, she was preparing for needing to physically escape the facility, even though this was not the exit she planned to take.

Once her work with the jammer was done, X7A would use any remaining spare time she had to look over the computer that was open to her, including any messages of interest such as the one recently sent, as it should have been impossible for a dead man to send a message. Apart from that, anything that would assist either with her downward movement or information on what she was searching for were her priorities, such as contacts he may have had.

The creature did not react much, continuing making its strange pulsating whirring noise. It did not seem capable of talking, only making computerized noises. Suddenly, it jumped off to the side, elongating its body mid-air and sticking to another surface, movement getting some attention of the personnel.

"What was that?" one of the personnel asked, but none of them looked like they wanted to investigate.

The thing jumped back to its previous spot, and its flashlight-head continued making a rolling whirring noise. It suddenly jumped forth, body elongated mid-air and it slammed against Annie's window, cracking it open. About one half of the window broke and fell out. After bouncing off the window rather ungracefully, the thing crawled away quickly.

"Did you see that? Someone call for security!" one of the personnel whined.

"What the hell was that thing?" another worker exclaimed worriedly.

"Stay away from it! Don't touch it!"

London

It had to go, now? Maybe the lasers induced an effect similar to Metamucil, but if so, at least London did not have an accident. But worst alarm ever? No way, the best alarm to wake up pesky kids in the morning!

Well, out of sheer dumb luck, the door it grabbed had a knob that refused to turn, so a tug swung open. Even though the door was locked, the lock itself had malfunctioned, failing to keep the door closed, and so London easily swung it open.

A simple washroom happened to be nearby, having a blue logo portraying a man, woman, and a person in a wheelchair. Since the door to the washroom was left wide open, London was able to go right in. It probably slammed the door shut and locked it, allowing it to proceed with whatever business it had to do. There was a toilet, sink and mirror, air blower to dry hands, and the toiler had a short railing next to it. There was also a condom dispenser on the wall next to the door.
