“Damn it! The humans are more heavily armoured than us!” Brazzi cried as a few more Quarians shouted and fell after being shot too many times. Brazzi fired his Geth Pulse Rifle, the strange projectiles injuring an ADVs. “Maal’Lok! Get to cover!” Brazzi yelled, for by this time, most Quarians and ADVs had already taken cover behind various pillars, crates, or concrete railings.

Some braver escapees joined in the gunfight, eager to get revenge on their captors.

To make things worse, smoke began flowing in the area. It was only a matter of time before the muster point caught fire as well! The Krogan then reappeared, charging forth and smashing into an ADVs, hurling the man several feet back. He then used a Biotic Lift, raising several ADVs from their cover. Immediately, the Quarians, the escapees, and the Krogan with his Geth Pulse Rifle, fired at the Lifted ADVs and took them out.

“AAHHH HAH HAH HAH HAHHH! You’re all dead!” the Krogan shouted, then continued bashing ADVs down.

“Dammit! Fuck this, everyone into the trains, now! Fall back!” the officer shouted into his intercom, and the ADVs did just that, heading towards several trains that had yet to disembark...

“Don’t let them snatch the last train!” Tatri shouted, taking cover behind a pillar as chunks of it broke off from gunfire.

London

London was very much aware of the barrels pointing in her direction as the sound of fighting filled the room. A bead of sweat forming on her brow, she looked from the Quarrians to the Security with beady eyes.

“ DON’T FIRE! ” London managed in a tone one would expect from a person standing before a 6 foot spectical of a quarrian who never missed leg day. “ We come in- OH! ”

London felt a strong grip vice around her legs, ripping her from the floor. Now dangling before the muscular Quarrian, her eye line was drawn to the Quarrian’s bulging theighs under that indecently skin-tight suit. All in all, London thought this might make great material for a fanfic

“ S-Sup? ” London began, utterly distracted by those legs. Before London could finish, she could feel the impossibly tight grip chuck her clear through the air. She even performed a surprising series of cartwheels before performing a unanimous 0/10 landing in some nearby crates.

The Bullets continued to fly, leaving a bewildered London to nurse their hurting head. Rising from the uncomfortable bed of box-bits, London peeked at the ongoing quarrel between the Quarrians and Security.

“ Well, I’ll be. They opened fire. RUDE! ” London began babbling at a startlingly quick pace. “ But, what is London to do? If they don’t stop, nobody can get to the toilet. London guesses he could ask nicely… Yes! That is what London shall do! “

London cleared her throat, before politely yelling “ OI, MR SOLDIER GUYS! STOP FIRING AT EACHOTHER! MAKE LOVE, NOT PEACE! NO, LOVE AND PEACE! LOVE AND PEACE! GAHH, YOU’RE REALLY TESTING MY PATIENCE! STOP, IN THE NAME OF THE LAW, OR LONDON WILL BE SURE TO SHOVE THAT TOY YOU’RE HOLDING UP WHERE THE SUN DON’T SHINE! ”

Apparently the Quarrian and Security were too busy firing and dodging bullets to hear out or even acknowledge London’s request. London wasn’t to be dissuaded though – not by these ignorant warmongering men with nice legs, nor by her insolent lungs demanding breath!

“ Okay, so that didn’t work! London acknowledges they may not have heard him. London still has to do something though, or else they might shoot London! And that’s a bad thing. At least, London thinks so. London means, London will be a law abiding adult in a year, and then they may have to pay more on insurance premiums! And then London will have to live off peas and toothpaste for sustenance! WAAH! Wait. No. This isn’t the time for that, This is the time to knuckle under, stand on my own two feet and now London is feeling lightheaded because he forgot to take a breath! HAA-ARGH! ”

As London took to their feet and gasped a much needed breath, a stray bullet streaked across the side of London’s leg, interrupting their ‘brief’ babble with a hiss of pain. A quick glance shown red liquid pouring down her socks. Considering for how long London had been standing in no man’s land without so much as putting anything between her and the combatants, it was a near miracle she hadn’t taken more bullets – though she wasn’t to realise that.

“ OH DEAR! LONDON HAS BEEN HIT! I’m leaking! WAH! Oh woes is me, is this the end? GAHH! ” London yelped.

Rather than care about the rather dashing figure in front of them, the Quarrian crowd sent a second bullet that flashed by London’s hair, tugging hard as it passed over her shoulder. Before London could get register this, she was interrupted by a flurry of bullets pounding into the pavement at her feet, promptly causing her to jump up in fright.

“ RIGHT! SCREW YOU GUYS, I’M OUTTA HERE! Exit, stage right! VAMBOOSE! ” London said rather stone faced, limping off in the direction of her schoolmates.

Annie followed the group into the secret passage to get out of here. She was in shock that it was the creature who tricked her and brought her here. She really wanted to attack her really badly for what she did to her but, knows she knows the way out of here so, she didn’t. She kept following them towards the train when she saw the guns ready to shoot them. She shot fire and rocks at the strange soldiers hoping to hit them and hoping to have control over her powers. -Dances-

“ Bastard seems to have forgotten I’m here. ” Ryder grumbled before jumping down after the Asari.

Ryder cared not for the plebeians who fought each other on the station, but he was bemused at the sight of that blue ass dodging bullets. As the two gunmen popped up out of their tubbyhole, Rider figured enough was enough; before they could fire, he had kneeled over, his palms stretched across the train’s roof.

“OI, WRENCH! DODGE! ” Ryder yelled merrily, glowing blue as he charged his biotic amp.

With a sadistic grin, Ryder let loose a powerful biotic shockwave that rippled across the length of the carriage. In its path were the Asari and the two gunmen – as well as any unfortunate sap who happened to be in the compartment. Piercing indiscriminately through the roof, the Biotic blasts would cause windows to shatter, and perhaps leave heavy ingrained dents in the roof.

For whatever reason, the child was still here, and was still acting as though she was hidden. The reasoning behind this escaped X7A, but because the child was no threat there was no reason to act on this. Even if this was part of an elaborate trap, adding this single child into whatever the rest of it included had a 0% chance of altering the outcome. Why the child seemed so intent on following them, she did not know either, but left it for now.

The knowledge that they were indeed dealing with an AI or sorts was unfortunate. Her Operator was unable to interface with it and shut it down at this juncture, but that was the expected outcome. Unless they found the operational center of this being, whether that was a physical body or somewhere that it had merged itself with a computational core, and destroyed it, they would get nowhere. Combatting an AI in cyberspace was asking to be defeated as well, so X7A did not expect anyone else to be able to handle this before they had to.

Deciding to let Ryder deal with those that were taking the immediate hostile actions, X7A jumped off the side of the train, negating the gravitational pull on herself and hanging onto the outside just below the windows. Any breaking of said windows - which she was anticipating, given the abilities and disposition of her partner - would be harmlessly deflected by the gravity fields in her armor, and she would wait there, hanging below the window, until there was a clear opening to board.

Should she enter it before Ryder, she would give him the notice of, “

Operative Ryder, I am entering the train car at these coordinates.

” in order to prevent mass area ability usage from striking her. Then, upon entering, she would take the immediate action of executing all hostile combatants inside, by pinning them to the floor with gravitational field creation before shooting them with her pulse rifle.

Once that was done...well, it depended on what else happened to be around. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

London

After beady eyes, attempting to speak, being grabbed, thrown, performing a 0/10 landing, shouting, almost being shot, nearly getting its head blown off by a High Impact Shot, then vamboosing back to its friends, London indeed reached its friends.

“Wow! Are you OK, London?” Lonnie asked.

“I didn’t know you have a red sock!” Lucy exclaimed.

“I’m surprised you didn’t get shot.” Lucas remarked.

“Did you like his thighs?” Lilly implored.

“Come on!” Link squealed aloud, the toon fellow beckoning the children to follow him.

As of thus far, London had not seemed to utilize its Nanites, or peculiar pen.

Up ahead, the gunfight dwindled; most security had either fled into one of the trains or were killed. A dozen or so Quarians and security had hit the floor, holes in their visors and armour.

From behind, Geth Troopers approached, making their iconic beeping and whirring noises.

“Let’s go! Geth on our six!” Maal’Lok shouted, and all survivors made their way to the last train, dragging the injured with them or using them as body shields while returning fire. Noah helped carry the injured into the last train.

Having suffered from the pulse, the Geth attack, and Quarians, and the prison break, the security forces of this facility were basically destroyed, but the officer had escaped.

London and all the others boarded the train once able. Overhearing a familair tune, London looked up, as did many others. Many heard noises on the roof, and the Quarians and armed escapees aimed their guns upwards. A hatch in the ceiling of the wagon opened up, and the Turian janitor and several employees jumped down, the Turian still playing Angry Birds.

“Yes! It’s going good!” the Turian nearly cheered, but then paused and hunched over his phone. “Damn... it didn’t go good. Stupid pig.”

Now that all that action was over and done with, everyone calmed down and sat. The Quarians and escapees aided the wounded.

Annie, Ryder and X7A

Just as Morinth jumped down, the others noticed the appearance of the machine gunners. Annie cast flames and rocks upon them. The rocks ricocheted off their armour, and the burst of flames grabbed their attention, but their guns whirred to life and opened fire.

Ryder leapt down after Morinth, who skipped aside to evade the stream of gunfire. Ryder unleashed a powerful Biotic shockwave that rippled throughout the train wagon. Windows smashed, dents formed, the machine gunners were blasted down their hatches, and Morinth was knocked off her feet.

X7A had pondered about the identity of their new foe earlier. Indeed, defeating an AI was hopeless, but there had to be a way. As Ryder and Annie used their powers, X7A jumped down the side, shielded by an anti-gravitational field to protect from the shards and Biotic blast.

Informing Ryder where she would enter the train, she then used her powers to affect the two machine gunners.

“Ohhwahh!” one of them exclaimed as he was held down, and after some quick shots with her pulse rifle, X7A shattered their visors and killed them. Debilitated by Ryder’s Biotic shockwave, X7A also finished off a few other ADVs, as did Ryder when he came into the train.

X7A heard a few other trains roaring to life and driving off. Seemed like the train she had boarded was the last one. She also detected others entering the train as well, not security, but a mix of Quarians and humans, probably the prisoners and some facility workers who made it here.

She picked up the following message: “Tatri! Hack the train, make sure it stays powered on, we need to go before the Geth come flooding after us!” Sounded like a Quarian man, he having a very deep voice and very thick accent.

Gunfire followed; those who boarded the train probably fought the remaining security personnel and shot them dead. Suddenly, the door leading to this wagon burst open, and a Krogan ran through.

“BWAAAHHHHHRRRRRuh-uh?” the Krogan exclaimed, going to a halt once he saw that all enemies here were already dead, X7A and Ryder having finished the job. “Huh... never mind.” the Krogan mumbled.

Smoke was now flowing into the train; the fire was spreading rapidly throughout the metro now. It was time to go.

At least X7A, Ryder and Morinth made their way to the main train/cockpit area, fighting through a few groups of ADVs however they did so. Morinth once used her Biotics to blast an ADV out a window.

They reached the controls. No one else was present; all the security personnel stationed in this train were either killed or routed.

Omni-tool lighting up, Morinth took control of the train and it got going.

“Next stop, Las Vegas.” Morinth remarked, then turned around, standing against the controls and looking self-satisfied. “That could have gone smoother.” she remarked, and minimally grinned.

Now that all the fighting was finished, everyone could calm down and relax. It would be a long trip, so there was more than enough time to talk about any topic if necessary.

Mission Complete: West, George, Annie, Inferi

Consequences

Security forces of this Binary Helix facility routed or destroyed: they will no longer trouble anyone, preventing train-by-train combat that was intended.

X7A uncovered classified information, as well as private emails about: Gabriel Perez, Alestia Iallis, John Ventralis, Maal'Lok vas Azmodaeyya, Rafael Vargas, Carter J. Burke, Morinth, Arnold McNiece, Killira T'Nama, Han Chan, Yaroslev Tartakovsky, Al Simpson, Zev Cohen, John Jergens, Han Olar, Dr. Palon.

Geth are present in Morristown.

Morinth, an illegal alien (literally), is present.

Various prisoners escaped, many of which are Metamorphosed, and may have useful powers for the near future.

A group of Quarians are present, who may be useful.

Gatatog Karrok, a Krogan warrior who somehow ended up captured by Binary Helix, is present. His brute force and Biotics will come in useful. Since he is a member of Clan Gatatog, he is surely a brutal warrior.

West,
London’s unusual habit of avoiding death oddly has granted you access to a few Perks, one of which you can choose:

Angry Airstrike: London can call an airstrike to pummel a chosen area, but only once.

Fanfic: For one post, you can temporarily be the Game Master.

The Pen is Mightier than the Sword: London’s pen can extend a twenty-inch blade, allowing her to use it as a short sword.

Foolish Friendship: More likely to befriend NPCs.

You can obtain one extra normal Perk in addition.

George,
Noah’s noble intent to save prisoners and co-operate with escapees will allow you to choose one of the following Perks:

Invincibility: Noah becomes immune to harm and all negative effects for one turn, but this can only be used once.

Paralyzing Palm: Noah delivers a palm strike, having a 1/3 chance of paralyzing the target for one post.

Iron Fist: Whenever Noah lands a haymaker on someone’s head or spine, he hits with the force of a Batarian Gauntlet, and so has a 1/4 chance of instantly killing the target, with explosive results!

Hurl: Noah grabs an enemy, lifts them in the air, then throws them away somewhere with great force.

You can obtain one extra normal Perk in addition.
