I'm really thinking of getting a new ship, however I'm not entirely focused on the game. I've missed a day or two, which most likely makes this about a weeks worth of voyages since my last update.
I finally successfully completed the Oxface Voyage
4th time is a charm at a 20 hour voyage. I was wrong about this character, as he's leveling up nicely. For comparison, the Level and MCS:
At level 6, it has taken over the lower stat of the other multi trait characters. I have a feeling, I'll keep one Oxface, and remove both the Sea Witch and Jade Golem in the near future.
Remove Jade Golem for the OxFace
Another note is the 1st Mate Judge of Dice. These Bowl Region characters are still the best multi-trait for any ship. I have two L10's, which give me about 1,200 in each trait ( 900 per trait + Bonus ). It might be worth it to try and get a new JoD when you have to go back and do the lesser voyages whilst you're training. Essentially, you'll want to buy If and Only If one of the stats is higher than the others; and getting one with a trait would be even more awesome.
For Multi-trait voyages, I start now with JoD, then OxFace, then one of each trait.
Aside from that, voyages are 3-6 per day, depending on what I get on my re-rolls and time. Accidentally buying the Figurehead really set me back on my steel and getting deck items. I'm close to getting my steel needed for all three items though
On a side note, I did notice the crappy crew trick appeared when I got the OxFace. So maybe instead of crappy arc, I need crappy Pincer ( maybe Bowl ). But then I don't really have crew space :\
You can see:
Single trait, the 22.5k voyages, I'm about 71% there.
Dual traits, I can do the 8-9k voyages, 65% for max 14.5k dual
Triple trait, I can do anything below 7.5k, 62% for the max 12k per stat voyages.

Once you purchase better crew, all stat requirements for the voyages will go up instantly.
That alone I really wish I had known. No wonder the terracotta region took so freakishly long!! I purchased them, then couldn't level the darn things because all my voyages kept failing for months on end!
I am at the Hook and I failed the voyage for the Siren. I haven't been able to see that voyage for awhile now, is it gone forever? Is there anyway I can retrieve it? Do I just keep rerolling and doing voyages until it comes back up?
Sorry for the delay, been out with the flu :\ But yes, it will come back, just takes a while. When I first saw mine, I accidently did the barmaid's tip, and lost the voyage :\

Got your first 90 and you want to start ports? Well just stop. I made the mistake of starting with just two 90s, and now my life in ports is much harder. This guide is a log of all my mistakes and missteps on my way to the last region. This first page covers your first two months or so.
I don't really agree on this. I started ports on a spare when I had 1 90. I did get all scrolls for armours, weapons (except for the katanas as drygores are cheap) and the most profitable scrimshaws in about 10 months. My crew is nearly maxed in the last region as well. So unless you plan on getting alot of level 90s in a short time, you can start with ports whenever you want.
I'll semi-agree with starting with fewer 90s, however, more NPS gets you a chance at more scroll voyages sooner. Since these voyages don't give xp, I feel/think it would be more efficient to do them at the right levels rather than wait ( like me ) till the pincers. Also one can save currency by not having to build totems to attract npcs and voyages. The game is easier, and gives us a break, when we start. I think we agree, scroll voyages should be done.
