I checked the Reddit today, where Mods were interacting with player responses. I don't personally have a Reddit account, which is why I am posting here.
I find it very disheartening how clearly the Mods are ignoring the feedback from Treasure Seekers and others that optimized their build for clue-completion. After a stream of responses laying out why this felt like a bad change for Treasure-Seekers and other purposeful Clue-Completers, and in response to a persuasive post reminding everyone that Flippy explicitly said to pick your regions etc around being able to complete clues, a Mod just totally ignored it all and said "It's a definite buff to both Relic choices". The whole point is that most people with Treasure Seeker (and other people who purposefully built their accounts around clue completions, whether by region picking or choosing the otherwise less powerful exploding attacks) DO NOT feel that this change helps them significantly. Rather it makes all of their theorycrafting and actual effort worthless, while then putting them at a significant disadvantage to people who just mindlessly chose the majority relic.
Jagex hasn't bothered to poll Treasure Seekers. They just created forums where they can ignore individual responses as anecdotal and push through the changes they want. They have been so clearly catering to majority choices and making this absurd ezscape for those who chose majority relics/areas. I know that next time, I won't bother with theorycrafting, since clearly the "big brain" move is to just pick what the mods/majority pick, since that will receive all of the buffs and none of the nerfs. And honestly, theorycrafting was the funnest part of this leagues so that's unfortunate and I'm sure will reduce my playing, perhaps drastically.
Thank you for the effort you put into Leagues. It is fun. But all these major changes --GWD and then even more so this, really leave a bad taste in my mouth, even as someone not competing for high ranks.
