Well, I’m a little late to the discussion, but this update really hurt the value of my relic. Reading through Monday’s trailblazer update, I see remarks such as, clue scrolls should have been fixed and this was “oversold” or didn’t work out like it was supposed to. I know why you will only make changes that impact the majority, but in this case those who picked treasure seeker are in the clear minority. The remainder of my leagues experience will suffer because of the mistakes in design and instead of fixing them, there is too much fear about the reaction from the community.
Well in this case, you lost a player who really enjoyed leagues but has continued to be on the short end of it... I won’t be able to compete for top tier because of the lack of fix fo Clue Seeker and I will not participate in another league. You changed the only thing that made my relic valuable. Please tell me what the difference is between the relics besides the fact that unnatural selection gets to pick their slayer assignment in addition to the other benefits. Stacking clues was the only thing this relic had an advantage on, and honestly it was already a pretty lame advantage..
It’s not too late to make changes, that’s been demonstrated. Please fix the balance of treasure seeker and make this right for the low percentage of players this update has wronged. Reading through this weeks blog on league, you see a lot of hindsight and regrets, it’s not over yet.... it’s your game... fix it for the players’ sake.
EDIT: By the way, as these changes were being discussed mid-league, I had to adjust my decisions with uncertainty of what might change. Because the idea that clue scrolls steps would only occur in the areas you chose, I went forward and picked an area without many clue steps. For those who waited to see what would happen, they suffered a loss of time and pivotal progress time. In this case, the indecision was almost as impactful as the decision.
