Wow, some terrible ideas are being proposed. The worst of the ideas is definitely a gmaul nerf. The gmaul isn't even the most overpowered pk weapon, it just happens to be used by a lot of low lvls because it's cheap and requires low lvls/no quests/etc. Why not nerf AGS? Or just don't change either of them...

Another thing I see issue with is the GMAUL's proposed costs.

I don't see why it should cost 10M (BH points - something like 4M-5M cash equivalent) and have a 1M drop on death. The drop needs to be closer to 75%, similar to untradeables. At proposed prices, you're literally killing off the weapon in risky PvP.

If anything I think changing the gmaul as they proposed will increase the diversity of low-mid account pures. If you go into BH world, pretty much every target is a maxed 50 attack, 13 prayer, high str/range account. This really detracts from 1v1. It is pretty much impossible to find a target that does not simply gmaul spec combo. If you watch any 1v1 videos on youtube, you will see that all of the kills are about max stacking the gmaul combo into something literally insurmountable by food.

Also, as you mentioned, 60 att pures may be more common. If this is the case, I think it may boost multi pking. Many of the pures I know do not want to multi pk because they are worried about ruining their gmaul pure (gmaul is almost never used in multi). If they were to get 60 attack, this would both benefit them in singles, and promote them to get into the multi-pk scene.

Another comment I saw unrelated to this particular post was boosting the power of mystic and/or decreasing the power of Xercian. Since the introduction of the "salad robes," all other forms of magic gear for non-pures has pretty much become obsolete. Why risk 200k on mystic when you can risk 10k on salad robes and have almost no difference in benefit. I agree, either nerf the Xercian robes or increase the power of Mystic.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for a gmaul change of sorts. This is just an absurdly bad proposed change... no one will ever risk 4-5m guaranteed lost on death... so ridiculous. So aside from many people quitting everyone will either go 60 atk or pk with rng/mage. This update should not be forced on the pvp community.

It makes sense that at low cmb people would minimize their attack and defense to maximize k0 potential and therefore making gmaulers common in low cmb brackets. If the g maul was so op as everyone seems to think, how come when you get above 75-80 cmb there are virtually no 50 atk pures? Cause its not that op at all, defense virtually renders it useless without insane luck. A much better change wouldn't be a forced 4-5m risk that's lost on death, but rather make them risk 300-400k for using g maul evening the playing field cause ddsers will gladly risk 50-75k to try to get 400k, idk who wouldn't. But yes the proposed update currently will force every single g mauler to get 60 atk in low cmb pking unless ur high risk fighting then the risks are matched so this update is irrelevant. But that's not increasing pk acc diversity, that's just forcing everyone to adapt to a poorly thought out update cause people whine and moan about the g maul. I pk on multiple accs and get g mauled out all the time, but its part of the osrs pking scene as it always has been. So adapt and get better at combo eating and then unless they get super lucky you're chillin

From the poll...

Interfaces
In April we released a new Goldcrafting interface that functions with left-click buttons like the bank. Following the update, there was a high demand from you that we should update our Smithing, Silvercrafting, and Lectern interfaces as well. ]

WHY EVEN POLL THIS? (specifically Silvercrafting)

Since the Goldcrafting interface that was polled passed and is ingame, why would you think Silvercrafting would not also pass this. Jagex should have just updated both since they are basically the same thing. I hope your already working on the update because it seems obvious it should pass.

I like how a month ago the gmaul was put in as "to be discussed" the response was largely negative from what I read, and yet here we are. Instead of being polled its an "integrity change" because Jagex KNOWS it would almost definitely fail on a poll. The whole idea behind "integrity changes" is literally just a way for Jagex to say "yea we're gonna change this without polling it even though we said we wouldn't do stuff like that" like seriously. If the plan is to not poll shit, take the poll system out and make it like other MMOs, if the plan is to poll shit, then STOP OVERRIDING THAT WITH THE EXCUSE OF INTEGRITY.

Keep delay on teleport when special attack has been used. It's unfair and cowardly to vanish imidiately after dealing a spec. att..
Keep current state regarding the imbued god capes (lost in PvP in wildy - not lost in PvM).
Magical defence - Don't change it. (It should have been balanced 50-50 from the beginning, but was not. We've learned to live with the way it Works - so don't change it).

Topic: fairness between PvP and PvM,
"... a discussion arose about how PvPers are expected to pay to repair their untradeables for losing them below 20 wilderness, however in PvM they can't break and can just be reclaimed or are kept on Death …"
PvP should not be compared to PvM - PK'ers either attack skillers that cant defend themselves, and haul loot after loot while not really risking anyting themselves - or they fight each other taking great risks. As a skiller going into wildy - I'll take my chances - and sometimes i'm killed. It is fair, that all players have high risk, and loose expensive gear, when involved in PvP in wildy - it's the nature of PvP. This is not to be compared with the 'skilling-like' PvM. Make this high-risk too, just make fighting less interesting for 'skillers' - in the end, the game will loose players.

Hi,

I would like to suggest not to make snare and entangle available in single-way combat areas on F2P PvP worlds, only for multi combat. Free to play PvP combat is very simple, the mechanics are basically ranged (maple shortbow) into the rune 2h sword for the KO, and because of this, it is essential to have lots of movement between two players in order to catch each other off guard (tactics such as sliding, delaying, one-ticking etc.) When you throw snare and entangle into the equation, you are restricting a lot of movement in the battle, and leaving the opponent whom you landed the spell on with no KO potential during the freeze timer (since melee is by far the strongest and most effective way to KO someone on free to play). Also, it will prevent people who use melee as their main handed weapon to effectively fight their opponent (casting snare/entangle on meleer and running to a distance, etc.)

Please don’t fix what doesn’t need to be fixed. F2P singles PvP is a beautiful game and art, and is fine the way it is. Snare and entangle will just make things inconvenient for everyone, for both PK’ers and the PK’d. It doesn’t need to be added.

Thank you for considering my suggestion, and I would appreciate any feedback.

I liked the polled changes. However, some of these 'integrity' and discussed changes are ridiculous. The OSRS team being able to put whatever update or change they deem is 'integrity' as unpolled is really starting to become a hard negative and just another excuse opposed to when it first started (rarely) happening.

The BH point requirement for the GMAUL clamp is just absurd. The weapon will literally die in PVP and due to high cost probably just be unused for most other uses as well.

I can see how adding Snare to F2P might be reasonable, but Entangle? Lol. First of all this update kills any hope for F2P PVP clans/battles to ever exist again. Second of all, Entangle is the highest level freeze spell in the game outside of Ancients. Apparently adding that to F2P players is 'improving integrity?'

Making the Imbued Magic cape act like the Fire Cape's death mechanics seems like the most logical choice to go with, but I don't think it really matters much in the end anyway.

Lastly, changing the MECHANICS OF THE GAME because a select few whiny crybaby PKers can't hit their barrages all the time is just narrow-sighted and stupid. That's really what the Magic Defense discussion is about even if it isn't explicitly stated. I thought the bulwark change was a bit unnecessary but at least reasonable. This idea is horrible.
