54% of the community voted to keep splashing. I have 99 magic and voted to keep it so I could contonue to enjoy 93 slayer as being profitable. But apparently the annoying minority wins again.
Why is everyone so butt hurt over splashing? I GUARANTEE the majority of splashers (myself included for about a week), were using mind runes.
You were getting like 60-70k xp per 6 hours doing fire strike. You can alch for like 70 mins and get the same xp as in 6 hours of splashing.
I alched when online, and only splashed when I went to work or sleep. But overall, it doesn't make that much of a difference.
TLDR: Alch for 60-70 mins and get 5-6 hours worth of splashing xp. Stop bitching
.
EDIT: He said it better lol:
Are you kidding me? This method gives 10k magic xp an hour and magic is already one of the easiest 99's to get. Ffs, you can get up to 150k xp an hour stunning + alching so what is the big deal on splashing? In one hour of actual magic training, you can get 15x what you would get splashing WOW WOULD YA BELIEVE THAT. With that being said magic takes around 85 hours of actual training if you're stunning and alching which someone can get in a week. What a failed update, if people want to splash let them it doesn't harm anyone, and it keeps fire runes, air runes, and the smoke battlestaff in circulation, all of which you have just made worthless, good job.

I'm going to enjoy training my magic today after Thanksgiving the NORMAL, LEGIT way, and not by splashing and going AFK, which, while it isn't against the rules, is most certainly against the spirit of the game.
Boring it may be, but the ways I have in mind are how the game was MEANT to be played! And that's coming from someone who has played since 2005.
I applaud you, Old School team, for manning up and taking action, even if the survey/poll didn't look like it'd pass for any option! No, really, I do.
To those of you who are angsty - give me your salt. I need it for my turkey and mashed potatoes today.
Err.
You do know you always had the option to train it "Legitimately", right? And that you didn't need splashing to be removed to train your magic level using other methods... Right?
Yes, I knew, but honestly, I never saw anyone DOING them when splashing was a thing.
So you'll admit that it had absolutely no effect on the way that you trained your magic?
You know, the further I engage with you, the less I see the strength in the points you're *trying* to make.
Then that is your opinion. My opinion is that I am all for the way the game was meant to be played. It says it clearly in the newspost that it would devalue any updates to Magic as a skill.
I'm honestly not trying to bash you (the guy above your current post, maybe, because he's clearly an idiot), but I'm being serious when I say that I was annoyed by splashing even though it did not truly affect me. It's gone now, and Jagex made their decision; let us agree to disagree and move on.
Oh, I almost forgot.
Oh, I already forgot.

wow here we go more changing without it passing the polls, looks like this is turning into eoc again guys... our voice isn't heard! WAKE UP JAGEX we voted to not change splashing ffs!!!
Making the argument that by removing an op training method is turning the game into EoC makes no sense, because:
EoC turned into what it is now because op training methods were left in game, and that xp was easily obtainable and everyone had 99 everything. How fun is a game when you have everything there is to have?
How fun is sitting at a computer grinding all day?
There's nothing wrong with using OSBuddy; Jagex has stated it's allowed. Go to bed and leave the topic to rest.
They said that about splashing/afk too, but nope.
Except that using OSBuddy doesn't give you an unfair advantage towards Runescape. Everyone has access to it. Everyone always will have access to it. Your argument is similar to one a sober man once said;
"Drinking alcohol is the worst any man can do, and I will never do it!", in which the drunk man replied, "Too bad sonny, you're missing out".
Instead of complaining about all the people who, implied by you, are getting an unfair advantage by using this client, why not go use it yourself and see how much better it is?
And on the topic of splashing, it was never designed to be implemented into the game, it was a repercussion of a previous patch, that is now being removed from the game.
So most of the players voted that splashing shouldnt be patched but you guys dont listen. I guess theres really no reason to poll stuff anymore since you clearly dont care what the majority of the players voted for.
