Notice how the title of the thread says something.

It says:

INTEGRITY

Everyone who wants splashing to be a thing has no integrity. They're not playing to the spirit of the game.

Merely to me this was a survey on how many people have lost their integrity.

These people flaming each other in the thread seemingly don't care about how new players are put off by the fact their beginner training spots are hoarded by AFKers.

Look at what other people are saying about Oldschool in regards to splashing. Doublelift, a popular LoL pro, in a talk show called it babysitting. BABYSITTING. This is not the advertisement that Oldschool needs.

Learn to sit back and enjoy the grind instead of trying to get it done the easy way. Runescape is designed to be a grind. When you play Runescape, you dedicate your life to the grind. Tough luck. That's the way this game is supposed to be. That's how it keeps you hooked and keeps you subscribing.

The community needs this. You all have lost integrity. Thanks for this update, Jagex.

As with any other person with 93+ slayer, we are disappointed about the smoke battlestaff dropping in price. :/ I have a smoke devil task atm and it is not even worth it. We agree that you should give the Snake Boss a slayer level requirement to compensate! Also adding more uses to the staff will be nice so it does not stay at a low cost (93 slayer is a long grind and achievement which should be rewarded)

you could also still afk splash that way I think by doing it with 5 vampires or something weak in nmz (kill till you get 5 vamps), not sure if that would actually work but I see no reason why it wouldn't


This doesn't really fix anything at all.... There's even PVP worlds, though that requires a partner, seeing how splashing is much more widespread now the problem will only be worse than it was before

Decided to cancel my membership. Too bad I still have membership until May 2015 but I'm not investing a single penny more to this game. No matter how nicely you try to make it look like in the OP. If you ask for opinions then don't freaking act against the MAJORITY even if it wasn't a poll!

I won't argue about this with anyone, just had to say my personal reason to not like this game that much anymore. Certain things are fine. Then there's certain things that should not be done. I don't appreciate this update.

Sometimes 'executive' decisions have to be made.
Prime-ministers don't have an election for every single issue that comes up.
They decide, the majority of the time. Unless it affects 100% of the population
Which none of these issues do.

Summary: Jagex CAN'T trust most of you to make smart decisions regarding the integrity of the game. So they had to step in, duhh..
I wouldn't let 13 year olds decide my fate.

The votes against splashing and afk nmz are almost identical. I don't understand how you go against about a 55% percent ratio. You say using guthans at nmz costs a lot and requires you to have levels. So does splashing. I have never trained using either of these methods but you are ignoring the fact that splashing does in fact cost a lot of money. Don't say that nmz with guthans is much different than splashing because it really isn't. The fact is that the osrs community majority voted to not change it and you did. I don't understand your logic it doesn't make any sense. You cannot be for the majority if you are going against the majority. Listen to the people, don't just decide for us especially against a majority vote. I usually never post on forums but i feel i must on this topic. The point is don't go against a majority vote. Why would you want to upset over half of the people who took their time to vote against this issue.
