Back on topic, the Protecting Children From Abusivce Games Act (or Silly Rabbit Games Are Not For Kids Act?) has been filed for a month but nothing is showing at all. Totally nothing, a blank. Even Chris Lee's 4 loot boxes bills failed miserably last year they still drew some actions:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/1629/all-info

Absolutely bad news for those who keeps crying about gambling though, this bill has been filed under the
Commerce
category as it definitely should be:

Subjects (1)
Subject — Policy Area:
Commerce

One Policy Area term, which best describes an entire measure, is assigned to every public bill or resolution.

Silly rabbit, stop crying about gambling. Smart consumers... and that definitely include kids who also have their 1st and 10th Amendment rights, you should know you shape the free market with your wallets, not the governments. :D :D :D

@Never RIP

I've removed your 2 recent posts. You use words that could cause upset or distress.

I would chose your words wisely.

I did choose them very wisely. Every single word I pondered and reviewed several times. And considering I am still here and no banned or muted from the forums, ya know there was nothing truly offensive. but nice win for u, u win this debate without even touching on the topic. And the other dude is copy pasting everything ... so... nice chat thanks for that.

Dilbert and others can keep on harping on about gambling but as clearly demonstrated by my since hidden posts, mtx IS NOT gambling .. we all know it...
Skillet? Skill no.

So much moot.

Federal Bill S.1629 is clearly placed in the Policy Area of Commerce:

Subjects (1)
Subject — Policy Area:
Commerce

One Policy Area term, which best describes an entire measure, is assigned to every public bill or resolution.

That should end the hope of the "predatory gambling" or "addictive games" whiners because MTX is just Commerce like Baseball Cards and Kinder Surprise! :)

This Bill, even if it was being looked at later, would not be one like The Marijuana or Opioid or Gambling Bills that were placed under Crime and Law Enforcement.

It would also not be a Health related bill like mental illness or addiction to hamberger bills. :D

^ cards and kinder surprise are nothing like mtx.

Ya don't get s chocolate with every mtx purchase.

Ya don't get to resell the mtx prizes like ya do with cards.

The above mentioned proposed bill doesn't even apply yo. mtx is not commerce.

Commerce is "the activity of buying and selling, especially on a large scale"... key word "and"... as far as consumers are concerned we can buy, but can not sell... so that rules that idea completely out.

Mtx is not commerce. Kinder surprise and cards actually are commerce tho - they both have a resale value of probably zero but whatever. Ok, let's say the resale value is zero... and u can give your mtx loots away yeeeee woohoo until.... Small star BOOM! Ya bought it with money, and cant resell even for zero, mtx is not commerce.

Membership is one thing. Mtx is a whole other deal.

I don't blame runescape (completely*), but runescape does do it. Facebook did it first and worse.

I'm not mad... I just want the game to be fixed... I don't enjoy this game... loads move to osrs because it has PvP. BRING THEM BACK! And y'all just don't go to the PvP areas if u dont want to mmk? I dont know wtf is so hard about that...
Skillet? Skill no.

So much moot.

We know these invisible "regulations" are "progressing" at a "break-neck" speed of... well over
40 years and more. Uh Oh! The FTC still calls for self-regulation in these alcohol, tobacco industries and such. Sorry, after the "break-neck" speed breakthrough of >40 years, the FTC don't want government regulations. They never wanted government to get involved since the 1970's

EA called their Ultimate Team Pack just Ultimate Team Pack all the time. They are not called loot boxes or surprise mechanics.

Oh! EA is so "scared" they don't have enough bankslots to store the billions of $$$ they bring in from loot boxes and other MTX. :D :D :D

Did you just prove my point that regulation on lootboxes are moving relatively faster than other regulations?

EA is denying lootboxes altogether, not just FIFA team packs. So its a blatant lie because they marketed Anthem and a few others games by proudly stating that there are no lootboxes in them.

EA is scared that the UK government will be coming after them. And the UK is just one of many countries who they'll need to face.

I proved your point if your point is Bills doesn't mean REGULATIONS, and Bills with no actions taken are only breaking the necks of their handful of sponsors and their over 9000 dreaming supporters. :D :D :D

Go cry about EA lie or whatever. ukparliament.tv doesn't even have a say to regulate 9000 more troublesome internet problems like trolling, harassment, etc. They can't do crap about e-commerce in games. Only the internet communities (games included of course) can self-regulate and implement their own standards like Fair Play Alliance and ESA, PEGI, ESRB and such.

Neither can Prince harry do anything other than these problems are worse than drugs. He can cry some troll bullied him on the internet but he can't do garbage. He can cry about gaming addiction but nobody forces him to play games. :D

Sorry to terribly disappoint you. For the record, The US Congress said Federal Bill S1629 - Protecting Children Against Abusive Games Act falls under the Commerce policy area. Games of course are commerce, e-commerce if you have to be really picky. Selling pixels of course are legitimate commerce. :D

Too bad if you don't agree but it is useless because you are not THE US CONGRESS. :)

What? Its not part of the law
yet
. All regulations had to go through the same process. What is your point?

The only people crying are EA and other greedy AAA game devs who's unethical cash grabbing money maker is under threat of governmental regulations.
