I've already shown you, go back 2 pages.

And its not deflection, we're talking about how the bill may impact TH and TH is RNG based MTX.

It also impacts all MTX that give advantages to children who spend money. That's the topic. If you don't want to talk only about loot boxes help yourself but I assume the rest of us are here to talk about the Protecting Children From Abusive Games Act" which obviously has a lot to do with MTX other than just RNG based MTX. That's why we bring all such MTX but not just loot boxes up. :D

The topic is the bill and how it affects TH, so there's nothing wrong with talking about TH and RNG based MTX here. Idk why you have to make such a big fuss about it, you're basically going off topic trying to convince me that I'm going off topic. °l||l° Modest Skillers T7 Citadel | Skilling clan recruiting players. °l||l°

Go ahead and make your comments on only TH and RNG based MTX if you want to as I mentioned.

However, that's also the answer to your question:

"What is even the point of bringing that up when the topic is to discuss whether lootboxes and RNG based MTX should be considered "adult" content."

And in case if you still don't see it, obviously the topic is to discuss not just lootboxes and RNG based MTX but all MTX target towards children.

But I am doing exactly that? Why are you making such a huge fuss about it?

Stop replying to me if you don't want to discuss the topic? Or must you do everything you must in order to be the last person to reply on these kinds of similar topic threads?

OP's opening post clearly shows that he's interested in talking about the bill and its potential effect on RS anyways.

The bad news? Jagex is probably going to ramp up MTX promotions until there are laws that prevent it. Hopefully TH will be gone before the 10th anniversary of when Squeal Wheel first came out.

So don't accuse me of "deflecting" the topic.

So anybody gets any update on this "bill".

Last I checked nothing filed in the Senate and Mr. Hawley's bill is not found on his website anymore. O_o

Let me enlighten all of you dreamers. This bill is a Trojan Horse in disguise. Hawley showed his true color already.

https://www.theverge.com/2019/5/23/18636535/loot-boxes-josh-hawley-markey-blumenthal-privacy-video-games

Markey has worked with Hawley before to introduce changes to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to extend greater data privacy protections to minors online.
This legislation would create an “eraser button” for parents to remove all of their child’s data from the related service.

https://www.theverge.com/2019/5/23/18636535/loot-boxes-josh-hawley-markey-blumenthal-privacy-video-games

This guy pulled his original agenda which looked like a holy crusade against pay-to-win games from his government website and spoke up again yesterday. His sole intention was about data security of children like what he did with Google and Facebook. It is all about Parental Control and allow the government to lay their hands on it.

Clearly he is pulling a publicity stunt for himself while trying to get the governments to snoop at children's data in the public media or even our computers. The only thing that can happen if this bill passed would be some games have to implement tough parental controls but nothing else on the video gaming front.

Good thing for those dreaming in the dark you don't have to wait because I am giving you fresh updates. :)

This is update is important because?

It is exactly about the Protecting Children From Abusive Games Act this thread is about. If you don't think it is important, thank you for your comment.

Senior Hawley's intention is clearly on data collection and parental control but not to ban whatever games and he can't even answer questions on the what games he considered "abusive". :D
