THE ACTUAL proposed BILL

I don't know how quickly this bill will be passed. Right now both parties (Republican and Democrats) are interlocked in a nasty political battle that has been raging since 2016. Sadly, this won't even help anyone's advertising for re-election come November 2020 as it is a very small blip on most American's radar.

The only good thing is that it is now on paper in some form and will eventually get to the floor for a vote after all the edits are done. Wouldn't put it past any politician to try and heavily tax it first like they did for cigarettes instead of banning them.

It is a race to see if the US or UK will pass this law first.

The bad news? Jagex is probably going to ramp up MTX promotions until there are laws that prevent it. Hopefully TH will be gone before the 10th anniversary of when Squeal Wheel first came out.
Jagex 2019 New Year Resolution... MTX our customers until RS3 SERVER SHUTDOWN PARTY!
The RS3 Community is treated like :@ RUBBISH :@ due to constant TH promotions.

Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions :(

Sorry to burst your bubble faster than anything.

First, this bill definitely won't pass.

Second, if it passed it means not just TH or loot boxes but also all the MTX would not be allowed in game. This also means Bond. So good by not just RS3, not just OSRS but basically most of the multiplayer online games. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Well, at least it'd be further proof of the necessity to remove that MTX. Slowly but surely we're getting there! > )

Oh perhaps this is the further proof of the necessity to remove all the video games.

Wait? What proof? Nobody shows any "proofs" at all. If there is any "proof". That "proof" only shows they will need law to prevent children to play all online games, with or without MTX.

Plus things like this have happened many times in the past and look at TH now, still alive and kicking ;)

So I like how ppl think every time they hear something like this it'll affect TH.

Official statement from the official site of Hawley is here:

Sorry to Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, this bill is absolutely directed toward children and has nothing to do with gambling.

The actual bad news is those who count on spreading fake news for a living that this Missori "Protecting Children from abusive games" is about adult players gambling with TH is going to be jobless very soon. :D :D :D
