When it came to turkeys, those who thought a limited release meant discontinued lost bank by investing in turkeys, which Jagex did not say were discontinued but did say a limited number were being released. Some players misunderstood the limited release to mean none would ever be released again.

This is where communication was not as clear as it could be that a limited release is not necessarily the only release, and does not mean discontinued, and more might be released later.

Though a majority I believe understood the turkeys were not being discontinued and did not invest in them, some players did invest in them thinking they were being permanently discontinued although they were not. Hi.

Yes, that snippet is completely correct out of context. However, when the full context is included, i.e. the items were advertised as "tradeable rares", then this out of context snippet becomes meaningless.

A trade able rare does not confirm that it can not return this is pretty much confirmed.

Show the community or even Jagex some solid proof that this is not true.
Until then the judge will say that Jagex is not guilty chase closed.

Or pay the judge more money and you will win o wait what....

theyre quick enough to move threads from discontinued but happy to allow threads dedicated to disc items claim prices

There is no confusion. There is no sense changing a definition because someone used it improperly. Call them 'promotional items'.

I think the fact most players did not invest in wieldable turkeys and only a few did is evidence most players understand tradeable rare does not mean the same thing as discontinued.

But for the few who didn't understand discontinued and tradeable rare do not mean the same thing, there was confusion which cost some players millions and possibly billions of GP.

I think it should be Jagex's goal to try and avoid any future confusion on whether an item is discontinued or not.

I don't think Jagex needs to agree that tradeable rare means the same thing as discontinued when for many years they have not meant the same thing and I think most players understand they do not mean the same thing, but I do think Jagex could possibly come up with new words to more clearly convey if an item may be obtainable through gameplay again or not. Hi.
