Given the opening of communication and numerous apologies issued in the recent announcement, do any Jmods have some feedback in regards to this issue? The issue raised in this thread is one of the biggest categories of disgruntlement and distrust about TH. It warrants an address.

Welp, I fully expect party hats and santas to be re-released soon, given that so many people here chose to argue with OP about what the term "tradeable rares" means in RuneScape . [/sarcasm]

As he demonstrated early on, context is key here, not dictionary definitions. This wouldn't have been an issue if they'd stuck to what they'd originally said, admitting that discontinued tradeables were a mistake they didn't intend to repeat.

But that was the era of the Gowers. And those that followed realized they could make more money off releasing new "tradeable rares". Now, calling something a "rare" in RuneScape indicates that it will also meet the condition of being discontinued, in the context of game history. So calling something a "rare" and then proceeding to release it again and again might legitimately appear to be duplicitously misleading, and false advertising.

So, rather than being pedantic argumentative gits, you might all try to track what the thread is actually about . . .

Or maybe just realize rare does not always mean discontinued if Jagex is talking about an item.
Hi.

Great news guys...Jagex is reintroducing rubber turkeys and off-hand rubber turkeys!

Original message details are unavailable.
Hello again. Sorry for the late reply, I have been out of the office and can't post on here from home.

The items that I listed are the ones that we have put in the mystery boxes for the Going Like Clockwork event.

This does include the rubber turkeys.

The turkeys were items limited to Xmas, so we decided to bring them back for this Xmas themed event also.

We discussed as a team what was appropriate to bring back and what wasn't. For example we're not bringing the holly wreath back.

I can't promise that we will or won't bring anything back in the future - I don't have that much power and I don't know who will be making those decisions next year.

However, we would have discussions again as to what we should release, and I imagine the same results would happen next time as this time.

These were advertised as tradeable rares...

... and have been traded in the discontinued item forum uninterrupted since their release! Hooray!
