Has anyone considered that Prince Anlaf, went to the makeover mage and is now Princess Alice?

If that was true, he'd already have possession of all known Godswords, in addition to Saradomin swords and Zamorakian spears. ("This is so non-canon, it hurts" -Vegeta, DBZA)

With that kind of power, he could probably unite half of Gielinor, never mind just Asgarnia.
Excpet Alice is known for wanting to escape their commitments. If they had been interested in taking over the world, she'd have farmed out the lucky weapons and used the cash to raise an army. Not open TH. So at most they might be interested in snatching back their own throne, but they are also obviously trying to avoid open civil war. And being sick of the whole mess is why she left her kingdom eatting the dust from her heels.

I just thought I'd share this little gem of a wild hair theory, rather than let it just vanish :P

I had heard the theory Alice was going to be the female "chosen one" from the battle of falador event, but that, wow.

I prefer to think we only killed Yelp's robotic decoy and he's currently piloting an Alicebot, continuing his evil quest to hoard real world money. It's very cramped in there, but he likes pain.

(Or, if you're some sort of crazy person, left the decoy alive, who proceeded to blend in with the local goblins to avoid suspicion)

I'm not a big writer of head canon, but I'll give it a shot:

The very first cycle of the universe looked very different from anything in the multiverse today. The first cycle was simply inhabited by primordial magical beings that fed on free floating anima. It was an ecosystem in the free cosmos of space. These primordials started off as microbes and over time, evolved and adapted to become more complex until civilizations begun to form.

As this great primordial civilization grew more and more powerful, its denizens became aware that anima itself was running short which could result in the end of all existence. These civilizations researched into building physical worlds that could produce anima thus leading to a short-lived golden age. After that, there were concerns about excessive anima and that it could destroy the universe if there was too much of it at one time. To correct this problem, the civilization constructed powerful automated beings - the prototypes to Elder Gods - that would manage anima for them by casting unneeded worlds into the Abyss while consuming perfect planets. And better yet, the Elder Gods would seek out new ways to make the flow of anima more efficient.

But as these Elder Gods grew more and more, they soon surpassed the civilization and got out of control. The Elder Gods saw their creators as a threat to their existence and devoured everything in the universe. Everything except for them ceased to exist. But to sustain themselves, they begun rebuilding the universe to produce more anima for themselves, then destroy it, thus beginning the great cycle.

With their creators long gone and their original purpose rendered moot, the Elder Gods simply turned to self-preservation as their sole motive. Restricting the rise of mortal life was important as they did not want to build anything that could destroy themselves, but of course, they made mistakes resulting in us.

Props to Hguoh for the first headcanon I know of to make it into the game's lore! There was a lot of discussion on the runelabs thread trying to rectify how ripper demons came from Infernus, which the creator, Omnis, focused on, and how they were unusually humanoid for a demon(what I focused on).

Spoilers for the books dropped by the ripper demons!

Part 1:

Original message details are unavailable.
The strangest thing about the concept art, imo, is the rags. It has been a strange notion since we first learned about the Ripper. It's such an odd thing because the vast majority of Demons don't wear anything. And those that do generally do so for a distinct practical benefits (armor, blending in while assuming another form, etc...). The only real exception to this has been Ocellus, and he's notably different from other demons.

This leads me to an interesting observation: I don't think they are wearing anything.

The same red glow from their eyes can be seen emanating from the 'rags' below their head. And yet, there's clearly nothing behind them to be the source of their glow, which suggests that it is actually part of the demon.

Part 2:

Original message details are unavailable.

But I have a bit of a crazy theory. As Lego pointed out, the Ripper Demon's upper arm appears to be bone (or at least very pale, thin skin) and their claws are metal. But let's strip away the long artificial claws. Let's stand this beast up from its crouch. Suddenly, it looks a lot more human doesn't it?

I propose, that the Ripper Demon is actually the rags on the creature and not what lies beneath. I propose, that it is a parasitic demon that forcibly controls the body of the host it wraps around. And heck, it even fits with the supposed nastiness of Zarosian and Zamorakian recruitment efforts.

But you wanna know the best part? I think the host is aware of what the demon makes them do. This would explain why Elspeth's song was so effective against the Ripper. Her song didn't actually affect the Demon, but the person inside it. Her song stirred that person's heart as it had so many others, and gave them the strength to resist the demon's will enough to break the link between the two.

Without a link to its host, the demon starved and the heat released from its death consumed the human within (hence more of a chaos dwarf death since it needed to burn away a body).

I have a headcannon hypothesis for the Queen of Ashes' cause. What happens if she is kind of like Zamorak in being "revolutionary" but about empowering "the weak" instead of "the weak should die"? Whether it goes against their will or not.

Also doesn't the quote "The end justifies the means" possible originate from Machiavelli? Just did a search and it says Chapter XVIII of "The Prince" says kind of something identical.

Well actually I think zamorak already is more like "the weak must fight and become strong to prosper", he's not about killing them. Bandos however is more of that kind of "the strong must crush the weak just because they can".

Either way, the Queen of Ashes could of been one that does not really want anyone to be strong - in fact, she may even want to destroy anyone that could impose a potential threat to her weaklings (even if those strong are completely good and would never harm anyone). That is if she sees herself as their big-mother, whom sabotages her our children to keep them ever dependent of her care and love.

Zaros and Seren will fuse into a being that will bring balance to the world.

They have a nearly perfect Yin Yang relationship, and everything about their connection to each other reminds me of the Tao Te Ching, or the two fish from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

By themselves, they have flaws, and are somewhat ineffective. They also complement each other incredibly. Also, if one goes, I think there will be massive catastrophe. I feel like these two are a personification of Balance, and that if we force them together, great things will happen.

The following is a short story based in "The New Continent" Op as follows, for clarity's sake.

This adventure starts off in the shelter of what will become Port Town Bay, It's a fair size area with rich soil that is hemmed in by wooded mountainous terrain. The mountains themselves are mineral rich with a snowmelt waterfall and river running out of the mountains and into the sea.

This is our little Paradise.

Through the gorge, beyond the Snowy Mountains lies the unexplored lands, until the boundaries are pushed back many areas will resemble the Mazcab forest in a sense. Here there be monsters. Plenty of game to be hunted here, though watch yourself as some will hunt you right back!

This continent is the last redoubt of creatures thought to be long lost, we are not the first to arrive here. Though we are the first that did not flee with barely a shirt to their name. They have regressed, though it is yet to be seen whether they are aggressive or timid.

A place of soaring mountains that touch the clouds and deep ravines that hide secrets far below, crystal lakes shrouded in fog, of swamps and marshes teaming with life. And just beyond the reaches of the Dark Forest is a place of giant bones, with signs that people have been here before, but what drove them away?

This is a place with many hidden secrets and natural jewels to be reveled and an ever changing hostile forest of Witchwood attempting to keep explorers from uncovering the lands beyond them. So explorer beware!

The New Continent, please support this idea!
