Sorry if my stories are a bit long-winded, my idea for Uggy is quite broad. :P
And I planned to include the story that her father told her as a kid in the future, as it's something that would be linked with all the faction choices.

The World Guardian stands dormant outside of the Elder Halls, watching protectively as Saradomin and Zamorak arrive, bound by an agreement of old, to find and kill Zaros, the world guardian says,

"You stand at a place beyond your understanding and power. Leave."

Saradomin glares at him, and says,
"Move, World Guardian, i will find Zaros, this area will make a good area for me to gain power, the elder gods are young, mine to take from."

"You have gone mad! They will obliterate you! Guthix was right.."

Next post for part 2.

Saradomin now shouts,
"MOVE! I WILL HAVE THE POWER WITHIN! For Gielinor, Vorask."

To which the WG replies,
"By the Balance of Guthix, the Will of Zaros, and the Love of Seren, I Banish you to Freneskae, there you will see the might of a STILLBORN Elder God, if you think you can kill her...BOTH OF YOU."

(Saradomin and Zamorak)
NOOOO
OOOO

Meanwhile on Freneskae, the two gods are obliterated by the mere thought of Mah, that they were invaders.
So ends Self-Righteousness and Greed.

Weight of the Hammer

Pain was something that Linza had grown accustomed to during her life. One could hardly be an adventurer without breaking a few bones after all. Physical pain, she found, was the easiest to get used to. Time healed almost all wounds of the flesh. The pain that inflicts the mind, however, was something she would always fear.

An undead wight; a twisted form of a once living and breathing person, that was the fate she had chosen for herself. A choice she had made out of fear of retribution, from creatures that were far more powerful than she could ever hope to be. They possessed knowledge of metalworking that she wished she could know. Knowledge she craved above all else, so that she might continue to gain the adoration of her peers. The praise she got for her talent in such a well-learned skill was euphoric to the young woman, and what human doesn't yearn for acceptance in their life? To be the best smith in the world, such was her dream.

It was a foolish dream.

For that dream, she was willing to deal with the one who delved in the shadows. She couldn't go to her friends after all, they wouldn't understand, the World Guardian especially. The serpent tongue of Sliske spoke the words she wanted to hear; the soothing reassurances that she did nothing wrong, and that she had every right to the knowledge she sought. Isn't that what being an adventurer is all about?

So she took his deal to gain power. To have the strength to fight back against those that pursued her just for her adventuring curiosity. All she had to do was sell out another adventurer to her new master. It was nothing new, adventurers did this all the time. Those that were truly great could handle anything hurled at them. Complete any quest that was given to them. It might seem underhanded to sell out your fellows, but it's just what adventurers do. At the end of the day, they'd all be sitting in the Legend's Guild having a good laugh about it. Except, this wasn't the fifth age anymore.

This wasn't like Ozan stealing a few gems for the sport of it, then shifting the blame for a laugh. This was a war between gods, and Linza had just sold out her fellow adventurer, her friend, to the most sadistic being she had ever encountered. All to save herself. Was it any wonder she never had any friends growing up?

When she saw what Sliske intended for the World Guardian, she had never been more horrified and disgusted with herself. The thought that she led a person she had called a friend to Sliske's clutches, and put their very soul at risk filled her with guilt. Yet to her disbelief Sliske stopped.

She saw the confident smirk on the World Guardian's face, despite the pain they had just endured. But it was short lived when Sliske flew into his fit of unparalleled rage. Now Linza was filled with a newfound type of fear, one that made her wish she had just gone to her friends instead.

Unfortunately, she was never going to get that chance again. To her horror, Linza watched as Sliske revealed her involvement in this grand affair. Of her treachery to the world, to her fellow adventurers, and to her friend who now lay beaten against the wall. Panic set in and she tried desperately to explain, to justify her actions and convey her feelings. She wanted them to understand, she needed them to understand. But her fear addled mind only shaped her words to a confession, all but confirming the picture Sliske painted of her. But the serpent wasn't done; he forsook the terms of their deal and chose to make her a wight right then and there, rather than wait for her natural death like he'd promised. Linza's world came crashing down around her, and the last thing she saw before slipping into darkness was the absolute hate in the eyes of one she had once called a friend.

Pain was something Linza had grown accustomed to in life. But nothing could compare to the pain she felt in her every waking moment since that day. She prayed to anyone that cared to listen to give her a second chance, to let her right the wrongs she had done because of her selfishness. Unfortunately, it seemed her prayers were answered in a way she would never have wanted.

Tears were a common occurrence to Linza now. She felt them come whenever she saw the face of the World Guardian, her former friend. Day after day their presence would make her rise from her tomb, only to be beaten back into it. Sliske did not have complete control over her, so she was fully aware of the battle her body would engage in against her master's foe. The worst part was how she could still feel everything that happened, yet she couldn't control her actions. She couldn't speak, beg, or scream whenever she was beaten back by the relentless hatred her former friend now held for her, feeling it in every blow.

She felt it when they took her war-hammer, her personal weapon, and smash it repeatedly into her skull.

She felt it when they tore through her armour with magic, their hand reaching into her chest just as they did Verac's, and burning her body with the tormenting pain of a 'Crumble Undead' spell.

She felt it when they stuck their clawed weapons into her mouth, and ripped her lower jaw clean off.

Perhaps, compared to what she was now forced to endure, death by the Dragonkin would have been a better fate. Now however, she could only lay in the dirt and weep, as she felt her the weight of her war-hammer beat her deformed body until it was broken.

She would cry and scream in silence, as she felt the World Guardian's boot slam onto her head, grinding her face further and further into the dirt. A thousand ways to die, and a thousand more to follow. Only when her body disintegrated completely would her tormentor finally lave her, and Linza would enjoy whatever peace she could.

That is until, she completely regenerated, and the whole ordeal would play out again the very next day.

Pain was something Linza had grown accustomed to during her life, and while time did indeed heal her physical wounds, her mind it seemed would remain broken. And so the friendless woman would remain alone in her tomb. After all, who would save one so disgraced?

That was an interesting read, Eridyn. But now I don't want to fight the barrows brothers. 0_0

Also, this thread has grown. A lot.

I'm really digging this one. I know a lot of players were wishing we had a bit more depth into Linza as a person before being "killed off" as it were. Hopefully we can still learn that sort of thing postmortem like we did with the barrows brothers as we move into the next quest.
