Just read it, I was so excited!! It's great to see every lick of information back in one summary! I thank you for this, I'm very info Lore the last 2 years!

I think the character will have a little background story line with his/her family... But further, I think it will be hard to bring those things into game... I think Jagex wants to.... as Mod mark said... that they want us to invet our own past... =)

Greetz and thanks again to shed it into a 'short' kind of story!

I'm surprised the player hasn't gotten disorders such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from a few of the quests.
Paticularly "On Piercing Note".

Hm... I was reading the transcript of The Void Stares Back on the Runescape wiki, and found something interesting.

The main antagonist says that he's detested us for years.

Now, until TWW, all of our adventures in the game were in the same year, year 169 of the 5th age. So, either:

The main antagonist is just exaggerating, or

Our character's past before any of the quests includes something that makes that antagonist detest us.

What do you think about this?
What's the most convincing ship in the game?

An aunt and an uncle. They are now married in my top-secret headcanon, confirmed.

That's actually the same for me. Although mine isn't top secret, and I'm not sure I would use the word 'headcanon' to describe character stories.
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

So 'new' players somehow start off at Ashdale ... old players somehow also start at Ashdale, but jagex unofficially lets us warp the definition of how/why we got there?

This. After I completed A Shadow Over Ashdale, I went back to activate the lodestone.

There was an NPC, Sarah, if I recall who I just clicked on her.

Her dialogue:

Sarah: "Back again? I knew you couldn't stay away."
Player: "What are you up to?"
Sarah: "Well first I'm going to slay a few trolls, and then I'm going to sneak into the dragon's lair and steal all his gold. Or perhaps I'll spend the day doing mindless, repetitive chores. Either's fine with me."
Player: "I see you haven't lost your sense of humour" (The avatar laughs)
Sarah: "If I didn't joke about it, I'd go crazy. I'm not saying that I want another undead necromancer to visit, but a little excitement wouldn't go amiss.
Player: "So things are peaceful around here?"
Sarah: "Peaceful is one word for it. If someone were to spill a basket of apples, it'd be a newsworthy event. Still, it is better than having to deal with zombies, I suppose."
Player: "I had better go."
Sarah: "Good to see you again pumpkin head."

What? No. I don't know you. I never saw any necromancers or zombies. I never talked to you before and I don't want to. Even though you have a good sense of humour. I never have been to Ashdale, except to kill spider-like creatures. There are no zombies! I'M FROM TUTORIAL ISLAND NOT ASHDALE!!

*Earth beneath shakes*

Ok maybe it's over dramatic but some pieces are already defining the player's backstory. I don't want to be from Ashdale. I woke up in a house on Tutorial Island. A man asked me what's my name was and at that time I said "Tamuraki." (It's my previous name.) Then I stepped outside and began my adventure.
