Also...in Nomad's elegy Shame and Guilt have some....interesting dialog. Such as something along the lines of "your mother died alone because you were too busy to visit her"

I also remember one of em saying "your father died in battle...." but can;t find that dialog on the wiki. As well as we spend our youth in excess, but again, can't find the dialog for that anywhere.

As for backstory, i firmly believe each to their own.

My main's full name is Rosaline Maura Jozefa Erikson-Poilio, and her back story is her mom is half fremmy, half moonclan. Father is a secret Zarosian from the desert. Works for me cause fits my parents irl :P

Somehow, i think such a story and name are really ok with me :P
Nature Rosa's alt and lover of angst, bad feels, and bunnies.

Runescape invites you to create your own backstory. It was born out of tabletop roleplaying games and the like, where backstories and things are completely up to you.

Diamondgreen was born in Falador to a devoutly Saradominist family. At a young age she struck out on her own, hoping to make a living fishing, cooking and relaxing. A love of learning eventually led her to the Wizard's Tower, where she learned a lot about magic and discovered a passion for runecraft in particular.

Your backstory is your own, and Jagex have already said they plan to keep it that way. An official backstory would make the character theirs, and not yours.

I think those refer to Xenia's backstory, not ours. After all, Shame and Guilt look like Xenia and they refer to what Xenia did during Heart of Stone: betrayed her friends (Ariane) and killed a man (Pablo Corvusa) because she was arrogant and trusted a monster she knew nothing about (Prehistoric Abyssal).

The similarities go even further, as Shame mentions that she "manipulated people" and "convinced friends and allies to do terrible things". Now think this for a minute: does no-one find it odd why Warriors' Guild brought with them Eastern cyclopes from the Wushanko Isles, who are described to be friendly and on good terms with everyone, and that Xenia refuses to talk about what she did in the Eastern Lands? It could be that this one of those situations where Xenia convinced others to do terrible things: she might've convinced Harrallak and other members of the Warriors' Guild to basically kidnap and enslave a bunch of friendly cyclopes in order for future Warriors' Guild members to have enemies to train against.

Both The Light Within and Heart of Stone (both worked on by Mod Raven, I hear) indicate our characters snore. And that the snoring is *horrible*. Since this has come up in two quests now, I guess it's a fairly established fact of our character?

I guess so. I think I can add that to the list, although I'd like to analyze what causes snoring in the first place to see if there's something additional we can learn about them.

Though i think its possible shame and guilt are referring to Xenia, im more leaning it towards the player since those memories are talking to us as us through them, similar to how we had to draw on our own experiences and think like Jessica for her part.

I think shame and guilt are drawing on our own shame that we have. I think that we remember our childhood but not our teen years, that something traumatic happened to us and its sub conscious that feels the guilt and shame which makes us forget everything recent that happened, hence why we pop up at level 1 everything (except health because we cant "forget" being healthy"

Also i would not rule out us being adopted, just because we refer to our family as family does not make it biological which would tie in with the amnesiac or reincarnation bits because i do take the balance elemental dialogue as canon and true.

Have you added in the retconned beginning yet? Where we first arrive in Ashdale from "parts unknown?"

Oh I get it, we're the Ultimate Warrior.

Only then can they
