I am Godless.

The so called "gods" are pretenders. They are neither omniscient nor omnipotent, and can be killed.

They seek to impose their ideologies on mortals, from their invasion in the Second Age, to their potentially destructive war in the Sixth Age.

Only the Godless can create a civilization based on not what works for Mahjarrat, or demons, or Icyene, but on what works for beings born and raised in the relative peace of the Fifth Age.

This guy.
the forced ideology arguement is so false its sad you follow whoever you want. I respect the godless because they want to be free from gods but some godless players act like the gods are slave drivers. It is a game afterall no one forces anything

@ an aviansie, he could have worded his post better so it wouldnt seem like he was trying to insult your intelligence. However you could have explained your dislike for certain gods better because the reasons you gave were a little petty. This is not a personal attack, but to me this thread just screams flamebait so we should all be careful about what we post

I agree completely with the underlined part. I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to go super in depth with why I think what I think (mainly because it was around 5 AM and I'm terribad at going to sleep at a proper time at night.)

I didn't say the right things. Granted, I was too antagonistic with Zamorak. While I don't agree with his opinions at all, my response to why I don't follow him was, at best, a kneejerk reaction.

And yes, I know this sounds like I'm backpedaling super hardcore, but meh.

Because Guthix died and Kree-arra was pretty reasonable in that quest... more reasonable than Azzanadra and Juna even at that point... Azzykins and Juna both assume my friendship with them will make me side with them
and the book of the gods helped a bit in that also

I may have joined Sara if he'd kept his old model... with a few improvements, maybe. The old one looks like a god, the new one looks like a giant blue old guy

asside from looking badass a interesting back story. strong, awesome followers and fancy armour and colours?

i can agree with the whole strenght through chaos ideology.

"None of the other factions have any amount of vision. Yet we do. We have always stood for freedom and progress, and we will not be stopped by anyone."

and what wekill said.

For example: Zamorak appears in Lumbridge. He gathers the divine energy around. He might have only intended to siphon the energy and leave right after, but there is a possibility he could have swayed the duke, captured Lumbridge, or even worse, all of Misthalin. Saradomin can't risk losing neither his territory or his people, therefore he battled Zamorak and forced him out of the kingdom. He might have lost a lot if he didn't act, but instead lost only a little by taking action. All what Saradomin lost in that battle was a part of his army and perhaps some respect from his rivals, who already hate him anyway. So, that's no big loss.

"captured" is wrong. "removing tyrants" or "freeing the town from it's shackles", is a better text to use.

and worse? like what? zamorak doesnt (like to) use power for evil .

"he battled Zamorak and forced him out of the kingdom." .
you're joking right? you make it sound it's all of saradomin, which is a big lie.
saradomin didn't cared about lumbridge, he only cared about fighting zamorak, (prove is in the bol(?) podcast) he destroyed a farm and a fishing shop, and together with his and zammy's charged power blast destroyed more land and part's of the city.
and worse of all, he didn't do anything to rebuild, neither did his followers.

he may be t3 out of this battle, but it took another god to find the source, and alot of mortal blood.

more is lost, then won.

Zamorak for me, simply because I think he is the best god for Gielinor. As Mod Osborne said, Zamorak's philosophy is the only one that puts the follower above the god. That's an idea I can get behind. All the other gods seem obsessed with protecting us, as if we are incapable of doing it on our own and they seek to protect us by limiting our power? That is not an idea I can get behind.

Not to mention as a character I also just find Zamorak to be extremely cool.

I follow Armadyl because I support his goal of Gods and Mortals united and living in harmony.

And even if he has abandoned that philosophy and just wants to be the victor among himself, Saradomin, Zamorak, and Bandos, I would much rather have him in charge than the other three. He will not use his power to harm innocents, as the others have. Also, his desire is not to be the most powerful god, but to guide his followers, as evidenced by turning down power that he gained from Bandos.
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.
