I follow Saradomin because he's the god whose philosophy I admire the most.
It's been stated that Saradomin is a very confident god. He's also unwavering, determined, ambitious and has some leadership. They're all qualities that I lack and I wish I had. That is what I seek in Saradomin's teachings.
I know he's got his bundle of downsides too. Some know him for being close-minded, self-righteous, oppressive and short-tempered. He may be rude, sometimes violent, but we can't blame Saradomin for being inactive. Many hate him for behaving the way he does and with good reasons too, but at least Saradomin pushes things forward.
Saradomin isn't a just god. He is an orderly and wise god. This involves being proactive in his decisions rather than reactive and also taking decisions for others when you know deep inside that you are right. There are times when everybody suspects something wrong to happen, but nobody's got proof to justify their claims. That's when people like Saradomin step in. They stop whatever was about to happen before it takes place. Obviously, one must consider all possibilities and weigh the alternatives to finally pick the wisest decision possible, but sometimes there is but one choice, as unreasonable as it may be and one must assume its consequences.
For example: Zamorak appears in Lumbridge. He gathers the divine energy around. He might have only intended to siphon the energy and leave right after, but there is a possibility he could have swayed the duke,
captured
Lumbridge, or even worse, all of Misthalin. Saradomin can't risk losing neither his territory or his people, therefore he battled Zamorak and forced him out of the kingdom. He
might
have lost a lot if he didn't act, but instead lost only a little by taking action. All what Saradomin lost in that battle was a part of his army and perhaps some respect from his rivals, who already hate him anyway. So, that's no big loss.
So, this is why I follow Saradomin.
