Ooh very, very nice! Wish this had come through into the final thing though :( should it be considered canon though?

Yes, it should be considered canon. It is subject to change though. (I'm writing a bit about the basement just now.)

My question is what happened to the only survivor of the massacre: The faceless maid. Seriously, she's still screaming in that bathroom.

Anyway, this book makes me glad I set his soul to rest. After such a glorious killstreak I just couldn't allow Senny to killsteal.

The faceless maid was eaten by Senecianus while you were in the basement. We should have set it so that she gets removed if you go back and check but it wasn't a high priority.

Oooh, I see. I thought it was pretty hilarious that the Adventurer would just callously ignore a faceless and tormented innocent while telling Maria that there was nobody left. Removal or not, I got quite a kick out of it and got the kind of ending I wanted out of the quest. So no worries about forgetting it 'cause I'd say it was worth it.

I'm really intrigued about the lecturn with our name on it.

That's just Mod Wilson messing with you.

So no Senntisten time travel where our characters goes to the asylum and people believe he died there? :(

Hope that one way or another you guys show Senntisten in its prime, eventually.

Btw amazing quest, definitely on my top 5. I think that connecting the quest to the existing lore of the game was an important call too, kudos for that.

I thought on the matter for some time and eventually realised the answer to my predicament. My malaise was an inevitable result of my knowledge and experience of life itself. In retrospect it seems obvious to me that a life which would take away a hard working man’s wife and child is not a life worth living.

This realisation made, I knew what had to be done. Before I could rest, I would pass on the wisdom of my discovery to the servants so that they need not suffer as I had suffered. To make their final hours more entertaining I sealed the mansion with magic and hunted them one by one.

To my sister Briaca I leave the mansion and all of its contents. May it shelter you better than it has me.

Okay, I'm a little confused here. From what I just read, it kind of looks like he said:

"I now realize what it was that's caused me to go crazy, and so to spare my servants from my fate I'll leave some fragments of a spell around to help them out in the future.

Now It's time to totally murder the hell out of all of them one by one."

I mean, am I missing something here? How did he go from "I wanna do something good!" to "Tis' time for rampant slaughter!" so quickly?

Also who's Briaca? Do we see her at all during the quest, or will we ever see her in the future?

To me it seemed more like he was saying that he realized life sucks (because of losing his wife and kid) and came to the conclusion that the idea somehow applied to his servants too and they were just ignorant to his 'discovery'.

Hence, he decided to hunt them down and leave his 'wisdom' (life isn't worth living) behind on paper so they'd have an answer if they survived long enough to find out why all of a sudden their boss trapped them in the mansion and started murdering everyone. The spell doesn't even seem to be involved with his reasoning by that point, considering it already failed and all that O_o

Orrrr.....if he really was talking about the spell, could be that he's just so far gone on the insanity part to the point where his own logic doesn't even make sense. Insanity kinda sucks like that >_<

Sticky this, come on now! At least until you can get it ingame.

It's weird though how he refers to his only son as "that boy" and just forgets about him. I'm not sure which was crazier, him or the demon.

Speaking of that, can you use the scroll on him? Never actually tried that...
