Yah this really should get put into the quest if ever possible. This seems to answer what caused the father's madness, how the son died, why the father felt so guilty, and what actually happened in the house prior to this which gave it its violent reputation.

Although it still isn't explained what caused the demons madness, who the little girl really was, the existence of the asylum and how the demon was affiliated with it, and what happens to souls the demon devours. So the father's will answers half of my big questions when I finished the quest.

Interesting stuff. I don't regret my choice though of just letting him RIP.

P.S., compliments to the development team, Jack. Fantastic quest, 9/10 (for lack of a comprehensive minimap!) :)

1. Loarnab perhaps?
2. Rowena. The demon wanted to be friends if I recall, but in the process ate her. I think he did say she wanted to play with the boy, which would make they were friends before they died. Others say she lived in the Second Age, that the demon's insanity is messing with his mind, that it was him wanting to play.
3. Why wouldn't there be an Asylum? In this instance, demons needed to be controlled, as much as any other lunatic.
I'm not crazy. I'm not!

4. Seems obvious. They become part of him, he can change to them... Wait, could that be what caused his madness?

Very interesting. It's too bad this didn't make it into the quest.

Also, are there any pages for Nabor's insanity journal, or was this also the victim of budgeting?

Kind of off topic, but I'm willing to bet that the contents of that asylum have a lot to do with what drove Tolna insane.

By Jove! I *think* it's been said Mod Jack intended, back when the Mahjarrat Memories were first released, that there was a duke down the rift. However, they seem to have instead adopted the player idea of it being Loarnab.

Could it be that Mod Jack has ideas for the future that call for this character and/or for the asylum (possibly related to our name in the book?), so after the rift was Loarnabified, he made use of Broken Home as an alternative means of introducing what he needed?
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

Ah..if only the book had been there while I was playing the quest, would've made so much more sense. I have to say to say that the dual-coffin room with the glowing fungi looked like it was meant to be a lot more significant than it actually was in practice as well..a book covering a significant portion of the quests lore would certainly give an actual reason to enter it beyond 'I'm not sure where to go now, so let's just try to go everywhere' - that just going pretty much everywhere I could did make the initial play-through quite a bit more interesting.

According to Senny's dialogue once we cure him, he states that he devoured the little girl Rowena (I think it doesn't say if truly willingly or not), and that drove him crazy, and so he ended up at the mental institute of Asylum.

I too wonder if Nabor's book had any transcript, and the reason why would mod jack make so many reserves :P
