Any chance on spilling the beans on more Senntisten Asylum information?
Trekking through its ruins, I couldn't help but think the place seemed more like a dungeon and prison than a place to cure the mentally-ill.
Those chasms in front of iron-barred cells, hanging cages, etc...not to mention the implications of harvesting human meat with the Asylum Doctor's ring (perhaps more of just an after-quest creep factor, than implying the Asylum's doctors did that...but who knows). I suppose if it such a dismal place, it could go in-line with the "
as time pressed on, and Zaros faded from the empire more-and-more, corruption spread rampantly
" theme that you guys seem to be going for with the Empire (and what screams "
corrupt cesspool
" more than a vicious, prisonlike, insane asylum?).
Any insight into the Second Age is always welcomed.

Then again, we know demons were treated there. Maybe such circumstances are what makes demons feel safe and happy ?
It's too late. You've awakened the gazebo.
It catches you and eats you.

Or to contain the demons. A stout wood door would be enough to contain a human. A demon would need much more.
Then again most mental patients in ye olden days were sent to places that were very prison like if not actual prisons.

Good point! I think it's something that should be explored - and it doesn't
have to be
all doom, gloom, and despair. If it was an efficient facility, I'd like to know as well.
I loved seeing this included in the quest, as connecting things together always makes for much better continuity. But we only had small insights into it, and I'm not after some grand, expansive lore on it...just a few more details, and dropping the veil on something just a bit more.

Which prompts a question, actually. Far more so than lore books, postquest dialogue obviously works better in-game. Would you prefer for me
not
to post it in this thread and wait to try to get it in game first?
Pls try and get it in-game first. In game stuff > forum post.
Also, about the asylum, while demons may well have gone there, they were definitely not the only race. There are human skeletons laying around in some cells.
You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

The reserves are so I can post in Nabor's journal (which I haven't written yet) and Seneci****' postquest dialogue.

I would love for it to be posted in the thread so we can enjoy it, and then of course be able to see it in-game at a later time.

So, is the house 2nd age? I personally can't see demons being carried through some random guy's house into an asylum, but then again, the entrance blends pretty well with the mansion...
Also, was the woman's face taken by the ghost or the demon? I've never heard of any face-eating ghosts...

The house wasn't build in the 2nd Age. Maybe 3rd or 4th age. The will posted by Mod Jack seems to hint at the guy trading Runes and working with Wizards in Wizard tower. Which would mean the house would have been build before the Original Wizard Tower was destroyed in the early 5th Age. After that runes were considered a rare commodity because there was a finite supply of them since the secret to crafting them was lost. In the book trilogy the head wizards are very reluctant to give out runes to new wizards due to the severely limited supply of them during their training period.
The asylum build under the house was build in the second age. Senntisten was if I remember right a key city in Zaro's Empire. So it would have been a massive city.
I want to say it was Koh The Face Stealer. He stole her face.

Well...****. Now I feel bad for letting him rest in peace. He wasn't insane, he was just a bad person. This is the kind of information that's crucial for making these kind of "let them live or kill them" decisions.
I wish I fed his blackened soul to Seneci****.
I must say, though. I'm not a fan of horror. I hate jump scares (I over-hype them in my own head and scare myself more than they can ever scare me), and any sort of "psychological scares" I will allow myself to dwell on until I disturb myself to no end. That being said, I'm deeply fascinated in this quest because of its implications for future quests. Seneci**** is a relic, so to speak, of a time long past. A Chthonian who happily interacts with humans without all of the mistrust a lot the demons have in the modern age. And then the stinger at the end: "I'll be talking with you again, soon, [player]."
I can't wait.
All hands on deck! Douse the sails! Batten down the hatches! There be a **** storm a brewin'.
